What does it Mean?

  • Mercury is the planet of communications and technology, he is what makes us think.
  • Aries is all fire and action
  • Got excess energy or feeling restless, that’s Aries talking to you.. so get yourself out for a brisk walk or tackle that workout… for those who are unable to get up or out and about, try some fun and stimulating reading material or lose yourself in a good action movie.
  • This is a great time to speak up and get stuff off of our chests… be open to feed back though, we can learn just as much via our mental/verbal expression as we can through listening to what others have to say.
  • Don’t rush into anything, get the facts first before making judgement
  • We can think clearly now and if we let him logic will guide us without a hidden agenda.
  • Minor accidents and headaches are about now, so take care…
  • This “event” will have a slight effect on all of us, but it will be stronger for those with the following in their charts. To a lessor degree those with strong Libra chart influences.
    • Sun in Aries
    • Mercury in Aries
    • Mercury in the 1st house
    • Any aspects to Mercury

&

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

  • Date: March 16 @ 12:25pm (ET) @ 9:25 am (PT)

  • Void-of-Course: March 18 @ 8:48 pm (ET) 5:48 pm (PT) to Moon into Aquarius an hour or so later:  Capricorn Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: None

  • ST. Patricks Day is March 17th… Happy Irish Day… time for a Guiness or two…

What does it all mean?

  • Capricorn is business, duty and discipline. She is ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions. **Note Saturn is currently retrograde in Sagittarius. This may cause some delays, upsets in work and career environments.
  • We may be more in tune with our work/career or vocational direction.
  • Change may be more challenging to deal with, and we may be resistant towards it…
  • Being disciplined towards our “duties/chores” may be easier to achieve.
  • Dealings with the elderly may be in focus.
  • Dealings with “authority” types, such as teachers, principles, supervisor’s may be in focus. Being respectful of such positions may help to alleviate tension.
  • This could be a good time to get mundane business tasks out-of-the-way
  • If you have been waiting to get a “chaotic” situation under control, now may be a good time to do it.
  • Rules and regulations may be in focus, and depending on how you deal with these, it could be a favorable time or a stressful one.
  • Good time to watch, listen and learn: (Especially with Mercury and Saturn in retrograde motion)
  • We may find we are looking at our “worth” now, including the salary we get paid. With Saturn and Mercury both in retrograde, it might not be the best time to actually ask for that raise, but it is a good time to review your work so when the right time pops up, you will be ready to “present your case”. :)
  • We are happy to work for our “keep”, knowing we are doing a good job.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have a strong Cancer placing in their charts.
  • Moon in Capricorn
  • Sun in Capricorn
  • Saturn in Capricorn
  • Sun in Cancer
  • Moon in Cancer
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Saturn
  • In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

  • Moon Sign: Virgo
  • Moon Quarter: 2nd
  • Void-of-Course: March 10 @ 4:32 am (ET) 1:32 am (PT) to Moon in Libra a few hours later:  Virgo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: March 9 @ 1:48 pm (ET) 10:48 am (PT) to VOC moon: Good for getting our thoughts back on track…

What does it all mean?

  • Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better :)

  • And those who have a strong Aquarius placement in their charts..

The Full Moon

  • The Full Moon in Virgo: The moon becomes full this month on Sunday March 12  in the sign of Virgo. There is a sign change later into the night into the sign of Libra… there may be a slight Libran influence along with the Virgo influence.
  • The Full Moon will emphasis the above Virgo traits.
  • Virgo likes to hear the facts, ruled by Mercury she is keen to ask questions and do her research… she can also think too much, causing her to see and feel all and any worry relating to a situation or a person..
  • We are encouraged this full to think before we act, especially for those of us who may be running on instinct, or those who easily manipulated by the woes of others…
  • Check out the facts and get the figures on paper, if it all looks good, go ahead… but if there is doubt perhaps it would be wiser to set this particular project or idea on the back burner for now…
  • Worry causes nothing but grey hair and wrinkles… :) have fun with your plans…
  • Those with strong Virgo traits, take care not to criticize your loved to the point of pushing them away, everything has a silver lining and no one is perfect… :)

**NOTE** Mercury, the ruler of Virgo (and Gemini) turns direct on March 9th… thoughts begin to become clearer, transportation and technology begins to work better… However, Mercury is still in it’s “storm” until the 19th… so it’s better to begin anything new after the 19th if possible…
