Mercury Retrograde: Enters Storm on September 20: Retrograde September 26/27 to October 18 2021: Remains in “storm” until October 22

Mercury Retrograde…

Sometimes Mercury gets a bad wrap when he goes retro… but it’s not all bad.. :) 

When Mercury goes retrograde it would appear from our Earth’s prospective that Mercury is moving backwards….. hmmm no wonder he can cause some confusion…  Yet, if we can “respect” Mercury while he is in this position by applying the “rules” that fit, we can come out of this period with a smile instead of a frown… :) 

The “rules” are as follows… 

  • Pay attention to, and do as many things as possible that have the letters RE in front of the word… for example… REnovate: REdecorate: REdo: REcreate: REnew: 
  • Try not to begin any new projects: 
  • Might not be a good time to start a new relationship
  • May be a good time to renew a relationship (depending on personal chart data)
  • Try not to sign important documents. Exception renewing a mortgage, but be very careful about the small print. 
  • If you need to sign important papers, make sure you understand everything, and if you don’t, ask questions. 
  • Mistakes in communications and messages are highly likely during this period, so read and REread before you sign or commit. 
  • Expect delays in communications or in getting your questions answered. 
  • Expect misunderstandings in communications
  • Have patience when communicating
  • Have patience when waiting for a reply or an answer
  • New plans made during this time may not work out as planned or may need to be RE-done at a later date
  • Mercury is in the sign of Libra during this retrograde motion… Life area’s involving relationships, partnerships and spending money may need to be adjusted. Be patient in your relationships, don’t jump to conclusions, but don’t compromise so much that you lose a part of yourself… leave sensitive topics until after October 22nd if possible. 

 NOTE:

  • When Mercury is said to be in “storm” he is moving very slowly, the effects of the Mercury Retrograde will apply to a slightly lesser degree.
  • Mercury entered its “storm” on September 20th {Write down new ideas with date and time they occurred, when Mercury is “back on track” go through them and discard the ones you know will not work, then see what you can do with the rest :)}
  • He goes Retrograde on September 26/27 @ 10:10 pm (PT) @ 1:10 am (ET):
  • Mercury turns direct on October 18 @11:17 am (ET) @ 8:17 am (PT)

What does it all mean?

    • Capricorn is business, duty and discipline. She is ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions. 
    • We may be more in tune with our work/career or vocational direction.
    • Change may be more challenging to deal with, and we may be resistant towards it… 
    • Being disciplined towards our “duties/chores” may be easier to achieve. 
    • Dealings with the elderly may be in focus. 
    • Dealings with “authority” types, such as teachers, principles, supervisor’s may be in focus. Being respectful of such positions may help to alleviate tension. 
    • This could be a good time to get mundane business tasks out-of-the-way
    • If you have been waiting to get a “chaotic” situation under control, now may be a good time to do it. 
    • Rules and regulations may be in focus, and depending on how you deal with these, it could be a favorable time or a stressful one.

Charm is the name of the game when Mars visits here. We are more apt to be diplomatic in our heated discussions. Being unkind or aggressive isn’t how things go with Mars in Libra, instead the “warrior” succumbs to the ladies charms.     • We are going to want our personal freedom now, so take care partners who have a possessive or jealous tendencies, they might not be tolerated for the next couple of days. 
    • Because Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter “the lucky planet” we may be feeling luckier then usual… Just take care not to go over the budget… :)

NOTES: Pluto the Planet that rules Scorpio, is secretive, mystical and a little bit “off the wall” ;) He is powerful where ever he lands in your chart… Pluto is one of the slowest moving of the planets, he spends a lot of time in one sign and is therefor referred to as a “generational planet” as he affects a generation of people… :) On April 27 Pluto turns retrograde, he stays retrograde until the beginning of October… It is unlikely that a Pluto retrograde motion will affect anyone greatly, however, those with strong Pluto chart influences may find some life area’s a little more challenging for the next few months… The best way to handle any retrograde planetary influences is to “go with the flow” don’t expect miracles and be prepared to do things over again.. Patience is the key, the retrograde motion can be a blessing in a disguise.

It should be getting easier to commute our needs, and any transportation or technology issues, should be closer to getting resolved. Because Mercury remains in “storm” until July 1st, care should be taken regarding any long term commitments agreed upon before July 1st. Mercury’s influence can have an effect on everyone, however, those with strong Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius (the moon is now in Sagittarius) or Pisces chart influences may feel the effects more.

His influence becomes personal when there is a strong Jupiter chart influence, such as the Sun, Moon or Mercury being in the sign that Jupiter rules, which is Sagittarius. When a planet goes retrograde it’s like when your house gets turned upside down because you haven’t been able to organize and sort it the way you would like. We are slightly muddled and may have a challenge seeing the whole picture and plans that we make don’t turn out the way we had hoped. In the case of a Jupiter retrograde, because he is such a happy and positive planet some of us may face frustrations or set backs in areas where we thought we had everything under control… Some folks may have a tough time sticking to a diet, and while the Jupiter/Sagittarius energy loves sports, getting in our exercise could also be a challenge… As with all retrograde planetary movements, our best bet is to be patient and go with the flow as much as we can. June 20 2021 The Sun moves into Cancer.

  • Cancer folk are always trying to take care of everyone. ☺Nurturing is in their nature, in fact it’s so inherent in these guys and gals that if they don’t have a family close by they will create one from the folks they spend time with. 
  • Emotional Cancer folk usually operate on ‘gut feelings’ and while they enjoy the company of others around them, spending some time alone in private can do wonders for the energy levels. Like the phases of the moon that rule Cancer, there are times to be out in front and there are times to take a back seat to rejuvenate. 
  • The thing to watch for with being a Cancerian is not to get caught up in the “needy market”… Depending on others to make one feel “better” is not the best way to explore the finer points of one’s nature. We all love to have someone around us who wants to take care of us, but most of us don’t want to be “mothered” all of the time. :)
  • Most “crabs” or those with a “crab” influence are great in the kitchen, as feeding others is another way to say “I love you”. For these folk whipping something up for supper is hardly ever a problem (unless one is feeling a little “crabby”). 
  • Cancer rules the breasts and stomach. Issue’s with the tummy are likely when under stress, during a full moon or when ignoring healthy eating habits. 
  • Sensitive by nature Cancer folk, may at times, imagine slights from others and become defensive or withdrawn (as a crab into its shell) in an effort to block any hurt. This is something that should be watched for especially during emotionally vulnerable times, actions taken or words spoken during this time may cause more upset than intended or needed.
