What does it all mean?

  • Capricorn is business, duty and discipline. She is ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions.
  • We may be more in tune with our work/career or vocational direction.
  • Change may be more challenging to deal with, and we may be resistant towards it…
  • Being disciplined towards our “duties/chores” may be easier to achieve.
  • Dealings with the elderly may be in focus.
  • Dealings with “authority” types, such as teachers, principles, supervisor’s may be in focus. Being respectful of such positions may help to alleviate tension.
  • This could be a good time to get mundane business tasks out-of-the-way
  • If you have been waiting to get a “chaotic” situation under control, now may be a good time to do it.
  • Rules and regulations may be in focus, and depending on how you deal with these, it could be a favorable time or a stressful one.
  • Good time to watch, listen and learn
  • We may find we are looking at our “worth” now, including the salary we get paid.
  • We are happy to work for our “keep”, knowing we are doing a good job.
  • While the moon is in the sign of Capricorn it may be favorable for: Buying antiques, buying for speculation, and collecting on debts.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have a strong Cancer placing in their charts. To a lessor degree, those who have Virgo or 6th house activity in their charts.
  • Moon in Capricorn
  • Sun in Capricorn
  • Saturn in Capricorn

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn

The full moon traditionally means endings, or completion… indicating this may be a good time to finish up projects already begun… This month’s Full Moon is in the 2nd phase, indicating it’s still a favorable time to work on projects, but we may not be able to get all (if any) completed. The message with this full moon then, is continue as you have been for the last little while, no hurry, no fuss. Being focused on our tasks could be easier now as the full moon falls in responsible, business-like Capricorn.

When a Lunar Eclipse occurs it usually means that the moon’s influence’s will be stronger and can last from 6 to 12 months. This is only if the moon aspects your natal, progressed or solar arc chart positions.

  • All of the above will be highlighted as the moon becomes full in this sign. Some of us may come across as seemingly unemotional, or too business like… this is great when dealing with business issues, but might not go down too well with close friends or loved ones. Take time out to really listen.
  • This is a great time to get organized though, as we have a better understand that being organized helps us to be more productive.
  • Family business issues may be on the agenda for the next few days, especially those dealing with any of the more mature (elder) family member(s): Do what must be done, but don’t forget to give and take a little hug now and then.
  • Some folk may experience challenges with teenagers, workers or children, rules and guidelines may need to be set.
  • Those with a rebellious streak in their natures, such as Aquarius folk may not take kindly to any rules and regulations during this full moon, they are encouraged to keep their own council if the rules apply to a job, unless of course they are ready to move on to another.
  • Dealings with older folks, especially father types and authority figures may be on the agenda for some of us…
  • The Moon and Astrology

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

    The Moon Void-off-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

    Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

    • Cancer
    • Taurus
    • Sagittarius
    • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

Sun Moves into Cancer June 20 2020: Summer Solstice June 20 2020: New Moon: Solar Eclipse

Illustration of cancer zodiac sign as a beautiful girl. Vector illustration. Stock Vector - 24677328

June 20 2020 The Sun moves into Cancer.

Cancer the Crab: Water: Feminine: Cardinal:

Cancer folk are always trying to take care of everyone. ☺Nurturing is in their nature, in fact it’s so inherent in these guys and gals that if they don’t have a family close by they will create one from the folks they spend time with.

Emotional Cancer folk usually operate on ‘gut feelings’ and while they enjoy the company of others around them, spending some time alone in private can do wonders for the energy levels. Like the phases of the moon that rule Cancer, there are times to be out in front and there are times to take a back seat to rejuvenate.

The thing to watch for with being a Cancerian is not to get caught up in the “needy market”… Depending on others to make one feel “better” is not the best way to explore the finer, points of one’s nature. We all love to have someone around us who wants to take care of us, but most of us don’t want to be “mothered” all of the time. :)

Most “crabs” or those with a “crab” influence are great in the kitchen, as feeding others is another way to say “I love you”. For these folk whipping something up for supper is hardly ever a problem (unless mum is feeling a little “crabby”).

Cancer rules the breasts and stomach. Issue’s with the tummy are likely when under stress, during a full moon or when ignoring healthy eating habits.

Sensitive by nature Cancer folk, may at times, imagine slights from others and become defensive or withdrawn (as a crab into its shell) in an effort to block any hurt. This is something that should be watched for especially during emotionally vulnerable times (menstruation/ovulation/work or family stress/full moon), actions taken or words spoken during this time may cause more upset than intended or needed.

Warm Birthday Wishes :

Ian, Christine, Janine, Rose (cusp) And warm birthday wishes are sent to everyone celebrating a Cancerian birthday.

Summer Solstice: June 20 2020

The 1st day of summer for 2020 and will be the longest day of the year and the shortest night for our hemisphere. A positive time where being outside is the norm along with spending time with loved ones and friends. Summer is a celebration of all things light and who couldn’t use some light after the dark days of winter… :)

As we welcome summer 2020 we give thanks to Mother Earth.

&

After the strange and challenging time we have had so far this year, let us hope for a better future, of fun, laughter, love and prosperity…

  • Get out your cooking pots, the BBQ or your baking trays, cooking and baking are soothing activities for Cancer folk, especially if they can do so for loved ones… Gardening can also be fun and relaxing for those with a bit of earth in their charts…
  • As we approach this New Moon, take care to have a positive outlook, think about what you would like to bring into your life to enhance it… make notes of any projects you would like to begin, draw up plans if you are so inclined :)
  • The last few months have been challenging for everyone, we are all beginning to become a bit restless with this way of life (COVID-19)… It is time to come out of our homes again, yet we need to take care still… Frustrations are bound to occur, making this New Moon time an extra special time to be thinking on the positive end of things… :)
  • All moon in Cancer Traits will be stronger during the full moon, the full moon will affect everyone, however, those with Cancer chart influences and/or Capricorn chart influences will feel the affects more. As will those who have the following in their charts:
  • Moon in Cancer
  • Sun in Cancer

  • Any aspects to the ascendant or midheaven

Notes ***

June 21: Solar Eclipse:

We can be more erratic and emotional during eclipses, it is best to wait out an eclipse before beginning anything or signing anything important papers… if you have to sign anything or commit to anything during this time, take care to check out all the angles. :) If your birthday falls on an eclipse or on the day before or after an eclipse, the year ahead could be an important turning point in your life… stay positive and a positive year ahead is possible.

  • Date: March 8
  • Moon Sign: Virgo
  • Moon Quarter: 2nd
  • Void-of-Course: March 10 @ 4:32 am (ET) 1:32 am (PT) to Moon in Libra a few hours later:  Virgo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: March 9 @ 1:48 pm (ET) 10:48 am (PT) to VOC moon: Good for getting our thoughts back on track…

What does it all mean?

  • Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better :)
  • Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
  • It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
  • Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so need things to be “correct” or “perfect”. Try to give yourself and others a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
  • Moon in Virgo
  • Sun in Virgo
  • Venus in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • Mid-heaven in Virgo
  • Moon in 6th and or 11th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury.
  • Midheaven in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • And those who have a strong Aquarius placement in their charts..

The Full Moon

  • The Full Moon in Virgo: The moon becomes full this month on Sunday March 12  in the sign of Virgo. There is a sign change later into the night into the sign of Libra… there may be a slight Libran influence along with the Virgo influence.
  • The Full Moon will emphasis the above Virgo traits.
  • Virgo likes to hear the facts, ruled by Mercury she is keen to ask questions and do her research… she can also think too much, causing her to see and feel all and any worry relating to a situation or a person..
  • We are encouraged this full to think before we act, especially for those of us who may be running on instinct, or those who easily manipulated by the woes of others…
  • Check out the facts and get the figures on paper, if it all looks good, go ahead… but if there is doubt perhaps it would be wiser to set this particular project or idea on the back burner for now…
  • Worry causes nothing but grey hair and wrinkles… :) have fun with your plans…
  • Those with strong Virgo traits, take care not to criticize your loved to the point of pushing them away, everything has a silver lining and no one is perfect… :)

Got a Question, send it along to us, we will try our best to source out an answer for you…

Just Click Here to send in your question.

**NOTE** Mercury, the ruler of Virgo (and Gemini) turns direct on March 9th… thoughts begin to become clearer, transportation and technology begins to work better… However, Mercury is still in it’s “storm” until the 19th… so it’s better to begin anything new after the 19th if possible…

The Full Moon is in Leo on February 8 @ 11:33pm (PT) and February 9 @ 2:33 am (ET) . when the moon reaches her fullness phase, it is said to be the best time to finish up projects and ideas already begun. It is a time of completion… Depending on which house it falls in in your chart will determine which area of life is coming to fruition.

  • We can start things now, but they may take longer to come to fruition and/or they may not come out anywhere near what we had been hoping.
  • However, life doesn’t always allow us to work with the phases of the moon, so if you have to start something under this full moon, take extra care when dealing with legal matters relating to said project and be especially clear in your communications. Mercury the planet of communications is sitting in the sign of Pisces right now, so be careful what you believe..
  • If you aren’t on the same page now with those involved in your new project expect delays and possible misunderstandings leading to upsets.
  • Be sure to take into consideration any negative effects of the moon in Leo as they will be much stronger when the moon is full.

What does it all mean?

  • The Leo Moon Loves Drama, so be warned…
  • The Leo Moon loves to noticed and recognized, so be prepared to “pump up” your loved ones and if you happened to have a Leo influence in yourself, be aware of how you may be going about getting recognized or appreciated… If you play your cards right this could be a positive time when you get to be where you need to be.
  • Try not to be overly “vain” and be prepared for drama at any-time from any direction
  • Try not to over react and if it’s not you doing the over reacting, try not to get caught up in the drama, or to encourage the over reactor
  • It’s a good time to check out the local talent, take in a down town show, get starry-eyed with your lover, or perhaps look for a new one, as romance is high on the priority ladder during this time.
  • Might prove positive for hair cuts, make overs.
  • The moon in the 10th house may make us more aware of our work, vocation or passion, be prepared to put your back into it, however, keep any drama or bossiness to a minimum if you want to get noticed in the work place in a positive way.
  • This moon period will affect everyone, but more so those who have the following in their charts:
    • Moon in Leo:
    • Sun in Leo:
    • Moon in the 5th house:
    • Aspects to the moon
    • Moon in Aquarius.
