Inspirational Words: Messages from the Rose Cards: January 2026

“Messages from the Rose”

by Karen

We don’t have a last name for Karen, she was one of our consignment family from when we had our physical store front, many years ago, We are grateful to have retained a deck of Karen’s cards, and we are delighted to share her positive outlook with you all.

As we enter into a new year, we wish you prosperity, good health, love and laughter….

A child can see the world through magical eyes
They have an innate ability to see past the illusions and lies
They are in sync in heart and mind
They expect the wonders and miracles they find
We ask that you look to the children in your life
Let them show you how to see the beauty beyond the strife

We would like to add, if we may…😊  Children are, through innocence, open to receiving information, they do not hold any preconceptions of people, animals or things… the connection to Mother Nature is the guiding light for them… As it was for all of us, when we began this journey…. don’t lose that “innocence” that sense of wonder and the belief in miracles… Times have been tough, and they aren’t going to get better all at once… just hold on tight, because nothing stays the same… and when you are “down on the wheel of life, there is only one way to go, and that’s upwards”

God Bless, sending out hugs to whomever may need them today…

The New Moon is traditionally a good time to begin things, be they projects, jobs, relationships, what ever is new in your life that is begun under a new moon, has a greater chance of success.. Any time from the 22nd to the 24th should be positive for “new beginnings”. The traits of the Moon in Virgo will be “amplified” under the New Moon… Some of us may experience difficulty in staying asleep, or our sleep is restless…

Aspects:
  • Squares can be challenging, two planets who don’t always get along, friction can develop, a feeling of being challenged by the other… some times we need that challenge to wake us up and get us motivated, great growth is possible, if we are up to the challenge
  • Opposition, challenging like the sqaure, but not all is lost, the planets are at odds with each other, but that doesn’t mean they can’t come to a compromise, although it may take one over the other to back down before anything can move ahead… Take a deep breath, listen to the other view point, and find the middle ground. If that can’t be done, then maybe it’s just not meant to be, aknowledging that will also “set you free”
  • Quincunx are frustrating and may require some adjustments/adjusting, they have nothing in common… We may feel forced, pushed or obligated to perform..  may also relate to health issues. Not a great time, just keep reminding yourself it will all be over soon.
  • Trines are very comfortable aspects, the planets involved are usually of the same element, (Earth, Fire, Water, Air) so they understand each other…trouble happens when comfortable take precedence over doing anything else, this aspect can induce some laziness, great it it’s time for some chilling… if it’s not that time, you may find you have to give yourself a push to get going.
  • Sextiles are planets that are of the same compatible element, (Fire and Air or Earth and Water) they have differences but totally respect each other.. so they are able to work well together.
  • Conjunctions are variable, they can be helpful or not depending on the circumstances and the people involved…

Uniting in Thought and Action
The Power of the Circle by Madisyn Taylor

When we are in circle with others

the energy stays contained within the group giving back to all.

There are many reasons for why a gathering of people in a circle is powerful. A circle is a shape that is found repeatedly throughout the natural world, and it is a symbol of perfection. We recreate this perfect shape when we join others to form a circle.

Being in a circle allows us experience each other as equals. Each person is the same distance apart from the next participant, and no one is seated higher than or stands apart from others in a circle. From tribal circles to the mythical round table of King Arthur, the circle has been the shape adopted by gatherings throughout history. The circle is acknowledged as an archetype of wholeness and integration, with the center of a circle universally understood to symbolize Spirit – the Source.

When a group of people come together in a circle, they are united. This unity becomes even more powerful when each person reaches out to touch a neighbor and clasps hands. This physical connection unites thought and action, mind and body, and spirit and form in a circle. Because a circle has no beginning and no end, the agreement to connect in a circle allows energy to circulate from one person to the next, rather than being dissipated into the environment.

Like a candle used to light another candle, the connection with spirit that results when one person joins hands with another is greater than if each person were to stand alone. People who take part in a circle find that their power increases exponentially while with the group. Like a drop of water rippling on the surface of a pond, the waves of energy produced in a circle radiate outward in circular motion.

While one person may act like a single beacon that emanates light, a circle of people is like a satellite dish that sends out energy. There is power in numbers, and when the commitment is made by many to face one another, clasp hands, and focus on one intention, their circle emanates ripples of energy that can change the world.

  • “Event”: Fall Equinox
  • Date: September 23 2015
  • Location: Northern Hemisphere
  • What does it Mean: Seasons are opposite on either side of the equator, so the equinox in September is also known as the “autumnal (fall) equinox” in the northern hemisphere. However, in the southern hemisphere, it’s known as the “spring (vernal) equinox”.
  • What happens during an equinox?
The September equinox occurs the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from north to south. This happens either on September 22, 23, or 24 every year
  • (Please Click Here for the source of the above explanation) :)

Notes:

  • The Fall Equinox is the first day of fall, we say goodbye to the long days of summer and say hello to the harvest of the season, being aware of our blessings and grateful for the abundance of Mother Earth.
  • Pagans/Wiccans celebrate Mabon at this time, giving thanks for all the wonders of Mother Nature… There are drum circles, rituals and celebrations… :) We must now ready ourselves for the long dark days of the winter to come.

The international day of PEACE takes place on September 21 2013. As the title implies the intention is for the whole world to be at peace for one day…

Every living being on this planet is connected.. And with the world population growing we need to all get along.. it’s not so hard if we can put EGO, GREED AND JEALOUSY aside. :)

In the words of Spock…. “Live long and prosper”

SGC Admin would like to add to that…

“live long and prosper in peace”
