Happy Birthday Libra Folks…

We wish you a year ahead filled with love, laughter, prosperity and good health…

CHEERS 🥂🍻

September 21  NEW MOON in Virgo. (this months moon falls in the void of course area, the moon is no longer in the sign of Virgo but is shadowing the moon in that sign… the next moon sign is Libra right behind the VOC position. It is possible that this new moon, will show traits of both signs… Virgo and Libra.

The New Moon is traditionally a good time to begin things, be they projects, jobs, relationships, what ever is new in your life that is begun under a new moon, has a greater chance of success.. Any time from the 21nd to the 23rd should be positive for “new beginnings”. The traits of the Moon in Virgo will be “amplified” under the New Moon… Some of us may experience difficulty in staying asleep, or our sleep is restless…

Aspects:

  • Squares can be challenging, two planets who don’t always get along, friction can develop, a feeling of being challenged by the other… some times we need that challenge to wake us up and get us motivated, great growth is possible, if we are up to the challenge
  • Opposition, challenging like the square, but not all is lost, the planets are at odds with each other, but that doesn’t mean they can’t come to a compromise, although it may take one over the other to back down before anything can move ahead… Take a deep breath, listen to the other view point, and find the middle ground. If that can’t be done, then maybe it’s just not meant to be, acknowledging that will also “set you free”
  • Quincunx are frustrating and may require some adjustments/adjusting, they have nothing in common… We may feel forced, pushed or obligated to perform..  may also relate to health issues. Not a great time, just keep reminding yourself it will all be over soon.
  • Trines are very comfortable aspects, the planets involved are usually of the same element, (Earth, Fire, Water, Air) so they understand each other…trouble happens when comfortable take precedence over doing anything else, this aspect can induce some laziness, great it it’s time for some chilling… if it’s not that time, you may find you have to give yourself a push to get going.
  • Sextiles are planets that are of the same compatible element, (Fire and Air or Earth and Water) they have differences but totally respect each other.. so they are able to work well together.
  • Conjunctions are variable, they can be helpful or not depending on the circumstances and the people involved…

The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life. Transiting New Moon in Virgo: September 2020

  • Date: September 15 2020
  • Moon Sign: Virgo 2:37 pm (ET) 11:37 am (PT)
  • Moon Quarter: 4th:
  • Void-of-Course: September 17 @ 7:42 am (ET) 4:42 am (PT) to moon in Libra later in the afternoon: Virgo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: September 17 @ 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Great for starting anything new… (if you are an early bird that is) ;)

What does it all mean?

  • Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better :)
  • Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
  • It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
  • Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so need things to be “correct” or “perfect”. Try to give yourself and other’s a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have a strong Aquarius or Pisces placement in their charts..
  • Moon in Virgo
  • Sun in Virgo
  • Venus in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • Mid-heaven in Virgo
  • Moon in 6th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury.

NEW MOON: September 17 2020

This months new moon will take on Virgo traits… the ability to see all the details, and a tendency to worry too much. While the new moon is the best time to begin a new project, wait until Friday when the moon is firmly in the 1st phase.. :) This New Moon will have a stronger effect on those who have Virgo influences in their chart, and those who have Pisces chart influences.

How to set your intentions for on the New Moon…

What changes would you like to bring into your life now? The new moon is the perfect time to let the Universe know what it is you would like to bring into your world… ask for guidance in finding direction and focus… Once written out on paper and heartfelt words said, light the paper on fire and let burn in a heat-resistant container… (like an ash tray) :)

(never leave a lit flame unsupervised: Not recommended for children/youth without adult supervision)

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

New Moon August 25 2014 in Virgo

Our lady begins her renewal process on

August 25 2014 at the end of the 4th quarter in the 11th house

The New Moon is about beginnings and starts … it’s the time to look forward and put new ideas and projects into motion.

New moon in the 4th quarter. A good time to “draw back” to reflect on past events and what has been (or has not been) accomplished. Time to clear the slate and plan for the New Moon stage.

New Moon in the 1st quarter: Our lady becomes visible 5.5 to 12 hours after ‘her birth” (the time she becomes new) she is delicate but strong, eager to start anew almost with the innocence of a babe she wants to begin again and explore all that she can. This is the absolute best time to begin your new projects.

Although this month’s new moon falls in the sign of Virgo, there may still be some Leo overtones about… :)

New moon in Virgo: Virgo is all about detail, which can sometimes incite worry where it’s not needed. If you are beginning a new project, or planning for the future, don’t be too hard on yourself it everything doesn’t seem to be perfect… You will see the flaws that need fixing, but don’t go crazy, sometimes mistakes are necessary :)

If you have been wanting to get in shape, or step up your work out routine now is a good time to start, it’s also a good time to begin a diet as our minds wonder to our health and hygiene… Cleaning out that closet or the car may also prove to be fabulous therapy…

New Moon in Leo: Leo loves drama, after all he is ruled by the Sun, without which we could not exist, it’s no wonder those with a Leo influence can sometimes get carried away. :) It’s a good time to start creative projects, and may even prove helpful if auditioning for parts in a play, movie or band. But watch out for the innocence of the new moon combined with the “showiness” and innate pride of the Lion… Remember your p’s and q’s, and that we can’t all be noticed for our talents all of the time… :) have fun, be creative, spend time around animals and children and who knows what one can achieve under this new moon… :)

Moon in the 11th house: House of teams, groups, friends and causes. May be a good time to sign up with a team/group activity (gym). Watch out you don’t get carried away regarding charity events and causes. If starting a new job or volunteer position be open to new friendships.

Moon in the 4th House: You may find spending some time alone in retrospect helpful if contemplating  next phase of your life, but don’t stay there too long… :) Focus may be on the home and private life now.

This months new moon will have more influence on those with the following: Moon in Leo: Moon in Virgo: Sun in Leo: Sun in Virgo: Moon in the 11th house: Ascendant in Virgo: Midheaven in Virgo:

For those who have oppositions or square aspects to the moon, these may prove to be challenging times, if this is the case you are advised not to force issues at this time.  For those who have trines or sextiles, these may prove to be opportune times.

Void off Course Moon

When the moon is void off course we can be unsure as to how we are really feeling about something or someone, it’s therefore advisable to stick to routine tasks at this time. If any legal documents or long-term commitments are in the picture take care to make sure you understand everything that is involved before signing… Delaying important decisions and commitments is highly recommended when the moon is void off course…

Solar Eclipse

A solar eclipse can have an influence on us making things, plans, issues and or situations that happen during an eclipse last longer than usual. Sometime’s it’s unavoidable and plans have to be made, ideas need to be put into motion and there are some people we just can’t get away from or do without…. In these cases patience is strongly advised. Our last Solar Eclipse was on April 29 2014.

New Moon September 5 2013

Our lady begins to grow in the sign of Virgo, September 5 2013. She will stay there until Friday September 6 2013 6:10 am, when she will go void off course until settling into Libra at 3:12 pm in the 1st quarter.

The New Moon is about beginnings and starts … it’s the time to look forward and put new ideas and projects into motion. For September’s new moon, half an hour before she becomes new and half an hour after she has become new is an excellent time to start something important:

New moon in the 4th quarter. A good time to “draw back” to reflect on past events and what has been (or has not been) accomplished. Time to clear the slate and plan for the New Moon stage.

New Moon in the 1st quarter: Our lady becomes visible 5.5 to 12 hours after ‘her birth” (the time she becomes new) she is delicate but strong, eager to start anew almost with the innocence of a babe she wants to begin again and explore all that she can. This is the absolute best time to begin your new projects, especially any projects or ideas that relate to the home and family. Family is anyone you wish to include which for some may be college’s friends, neighbours and co-workers.

Moon in the 12th House: This is the house of fantasy, escape, secrets, hospitals and other institutions. When the new moon visit’s here, she could prompt us towards new solo projects and/or she may help us move towards delving into a new project or situation that previously we may only have dreamed of doing. The beginning of a secret love affair may also be thanks to this new moon, however, you are advised to be careful of what you wish for.  If you are feeling creative, go ahead and have some fun, if it’s for a serious project make sure you head isn’t too far into the clouds. Intuition could be bang on now..

For those who have oppositions or square aspects to the moon, these may prove to be challenging times, if this is the case you are advised not to force issues at this time.  For those who have trines or sextiles, these may prove to be opportune times.

Our last Solar Eclipse was on May 9 2013.
