Astrology: How it affects our daily life: Saturn goes Retrograde May to September 2020 Saturn turns direct

May 10: Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there… :)

Astrological Event: Saturn Turns Retrograde

Date: May 10 @ 9:09 pm (PT) and on May 11 @ 12:09 am (ET)

Sign: Capricorn

What does it all mean?

  • Saturn is the planet of restrictions, duty and authority.. He rules Capricorn, is connected to the 10th house:
  • Capricorn is the sign of discipline… she is good at climbing the “corporate ladder” … she can be kind and generous, but also cold and distant… always a fabulous sense of humor though… :) Capricorn is ruled by Saturn… the effect may be stronger or longer lasting, especially for folks who have a strong Capricorn/Saturn chart influence.
  • This can be a good time to re-assess our beliefs, ethics and the values we live and work by.
  • This is a time for re-flection… a good time look within, where we may gain insight and wisdom that seems to have been “missing” of late…
  • Check out all those unfinished projects “hanging around” the house and office… it’s a good time to get organized… get rid of the projects and ideas that are not going to work and focus on finishing up the ones that will
  • Folks who are well-behaved citizens, who follow the rules and have a strong positive “connection” with those in authority, could feel a little “off-kilter” under this influence, but it’s not all bad… just look at this an opportunity to “loosen” up a bit… you are unlikely to go off the rails, and it could be a good opportunity for you to learn something new.

While we will all be affected slightly by this event…

Those with the following in their charts will feel the effects stronger.

  • Sun in Capricorn
  • Moon in Capricorn
  • Ascendant in Capricorn
  • Saturn in Capricorn
  • Any planets or aspects to the 10th house
  • To a lessor effect: Sun in Cancer: Moon in Cancer: Ascendant in Cancer

September 28 @ 10:11 pm (PT) September 29 @ 1:11 am (ET) Saturn turns direct: When a planet turns direct again, it can take a little while for the affects of the direct motion to be felt… Use the next week or so to finish up anything that has been in process, especially anything related to work/career/vocation… As the next few weeks come forward we should gradually begin to feel more focused when it comes to our reputation… New directions in the working world that have been researched during the retrograde, should take on some solid, practical and successful action forward over the next few weeks.

  • Date: April 25 @ 3:20am (ET) @ 12:20am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Gemini:
  • Moon Phase: 1st
  • Void-of-Course: April 27 @ 1:00 pm (ET) 10:00 am (PT) to moon into Cancer about 1/2 an later. VOC Moon in Gemini is NOT one of the “good” VOC signs.
  • Opportunity Period: April 26 @ 6:32 pm (ET) @ 3:31 pm (PT) to VOC Moon on the 27th. A “foggy” start to this opportunity period, which should present clearer thinking as the day moves on.

***NOTES***

Pluto goes retrograde on Saturday April 25th @ 2:54 pm (ET) @ 11:54 am (PT). He remains in Retrograde motion until the beginning of October.

Changes in an area of life that is active in your chart are likely… However, some of these changes won’t happen all at once. Some folks may experience an event, or a situation that brings about realization that a change needs to occur. This in turn prompts research and conversation in how to excute the change.. There may also be times when we think a situation is completed, only to find it appearing once again, demanding attention…

The next few months will be about seeing things as they truly are, being honest with oneself, being aware of our power, yet not letting it define us… Whatever crisis comes along now, is unlikely to be resloved all at once… Patience, understanding and compromise may be required…

Those who have a strong Pluto or Scorpio chart influence, may feel the effects of this movement more than the rest of us… :)

What does it all mean?

  • Gemini is an air sign and needs lots of stimuli. She is ruled by Mercury.
  • The house connected to Gemini is the 3rd house of: day-to-day travel/affairs and siblings… we could find ourselves busy with multiple things going on, even if they are just in our own minds… ;) Dealings with family, especially siblings, are likely. Memories are shared and possible solutions to old problems can be found. However, wait until after the Mercury Retrograde before putting any new ideas or plans into motion.
  • We may find we are trying to do multiple things at once, which may not go exactly as we may have planned. If you do find you have tons of ideas spinning around in your head, take pen to paper and jot them down… it will ease the “inside chatter” and you may find some of them useful later on.
  • Could be lots of chit chatting going on, and some of us may have to make a concerted effort to listen instead of chat.
  • Caution is advised when doing up letters, emails and relaying messages, as much as we may think we have it right, it’s better to check one more time
  • A new study could be on the cards for some of us.. and it will likely be approached with enthusiasm.
  • If it’s possible to go on vacation now, grab the chance, you might learn more than you could have ever imagined… :)
  • It’s a good time to get those lists and notes made up… we can feel good about putting pen to paper now.
  • Boredom may be at our door step and we may feel more restless than usual.
  • With the moon in Gemini in the 1st quarter it may be good for: Entertaining Guests, Joining a club and sending mail.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
        • Sun in Gemini
        • Moon in Gemini
        • Moon in the 3rd house
        • Moon in Sagittarius
        • Any aspects to the Moon, Mercury or Jupiter

The Moon and Astrology

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon: These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (Astrologer: Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life… Transiting Full Moon in Virgo March 2020

  • Date: March 8
  • Moon Sign: Virgo
  • Moon Quarter: 2nd
  • Void-of-Course: March 10 @ 4:32 am (ET) 1:32 am (PT) to Moon in Libra a few hours later:  Virgo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: March 9 @ 1:48 pm (ET) 10:48 am (PT) to VOC moon: Good for getting our thoughts back on track…

What does it all mean?

  • Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better :)
  • Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
  • It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
  • Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so need things to be “correct” or “perfect”. Try to give yourself and others a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
  • Moon in Virgo
  • Sun in Virgo
  • Venus in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • Mid-heaven in Virgo
  • Moon in 6th and or 11th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury.
  • Midheaven in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • And those who have a strong Aquarius placement in their charts..

The Full Moon

  • The Full Moon in Virgo: The moon becomes full this month on Sunday March 12  in the sign of Virgo. There is a sign change later into the night into the sign of Libra… there may be a slight Libran influence along with the Virgo influence.
  • The Full Moon will emphasis the above Virgo traits.
  • Virgo likes to hear the facts, ruled by Mercury she is keen to ask questions and do her research… she can also think too much, causing her to see and feel all and any worry relating to a situation or a person..
  • We are encouraged this full to think before we act, especially for those of us who may be running on instinct, or those who easily manipulated by the woes of others…
  • Check out the facts and get the figures on paper, if it all looks good, go ahead… but if there is doubt perhaps it would be wiser to set this particular project or idea on the back burner for now…
  • Worry causes nothing but grey hair and wrinkles… :) have fun with your plans…
  • Those with strong Virgo traits, take care not to criticize your loved to the point of pushing them away, everything has a silver lining and no one is perfect… :)

Got a Question, send it along to us, we will try our best to source out an answer for you…

**NOTE** Mercury, the ruler of Virgo (and Gemini) turns direct on March 9th… thoughts begin to become clearer, transportation and technology begins to work better… However, Mercury is still in it’s “storm” until the 19th… so it’s better to begin anything new after the 19th if possible…

The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life…Transiting in Aries…November 2019

Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

Illustration representing Aries the ram star or birth sign. Includes the symbol or icon in the background Stock Vector - 4713069

    • Date: November 8 2019 @ 6::49 am (ET) 3:49 am (PT)
    • Moon Sign: Aries
    • Moon Phase:  2nd
    • Void-off-Course: November 10 @ 9:00 am (ET) 6:00 am (PT) to Moon into Taurus later that evening. Moon v/c in Aries is not one of the 4 “good signs” Make sure you get all the facts before making any commitments..
    • House(s): 6 th house
    • Opportunity Period: None

What does it all mean?

  • Aries is action, he is the most masculine of the Zodiac signs as he is ruled by the planet Mars
  • We should have slightly more get up and go when the moon is in Aries
  • We are happy to defend our loved ones
  • We are apt to speak up more, even those of us who consider themselves to be “timid” can find the voice they need right now.
  • May be a good time to get your message across or to ask for what you need
  • Be careful when driving especially when upset or angry
  • We may be more susceptible to head injuries or head aches
  • We could be eager to start projects now, however, we are sitting in the 2nd moon phase, which is more suited to continuing with projects all ready on the go… Mercury is also currently retrograde, indicating that projects begun now may have to be re-done once Mercruy goes direct… Just keep these points in mind, if you do get excited about starting anything new… that way dissapointment can be avoided, and a closer focus may be applied to any project at hand.
  • Be careful while engaging in physical activities, we may feel stronger or more “heroic” at the moment but our bodies might not be in the same “zone” :)
  • We may be more decisive than usual, as always use caution …
  • Be careful about saying yes to everything right now, we might feel like we can handle more, but when the time comes we could be sorry we took on so much at once.
  • Being healthy and feeling good so we can help others, or at the very least get our chores done may be on the agenda for the next few days.
  • Adults with a strong mars or Aries influence may be acting more like children than adults.
  • Some of us could be more insensitive or appear more selfish to others.
  • If you aren’t looking to enlarge your family right now, take care, Aries has a lot of sexual energy to utilize… ;)
  • In the 6th house of health, diet, hygene, work and service… Some of us may use this time to take up a new diet or exercise program… while others, may find themselves focused on the job at hand, work or being of service to others… This is the house of Virgo, which is an earth sign, she is patient and critical… Aries, (the current moon sign) is impatient and rearing to… For some of us it may be a get up and go few days, as for others we may be conflicted as to what we should be doing with our time and for whom.
  • check your tempers fire people… know it’s only the “moon talking” sensitive water people… try not to “fan the flames” air people… Earth people, be open to compromise and flexibility. :)

The Moon in Aries will have a slight effect on all of us, but it will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts: Along with those who have a strong Libra placement in their charts

  • Moon in Aries:
  • Sun in Aries:
  • Ascendant or Midheaven in Aries:
  • Mars in Aries Sun in Libra:
  • Moon in the 1st house
  • Aspects to the Moon or Mars:
  • Moon in the 6th house:
  • Mars/Aries in the 6th house:
  • Retrograde Planets:
  • When planets are in retrograde motion, and especially when more than one planet is retrograde at a given time, we can expect delays, misunderstandings, re-doing, re-assessing, re-modelling… Issues from the past may resurface, and situations may repeat themselves. Life is unlikely to be moving full steam ahead… patience is advised, along with checking and double checking our work and communication skills… If you don’t understand something, ask… even if you feel “silly” doing so, it’s better to ask now and find out what you need to know, instead of waiting for some time in the future to find out you may have made the wrong decision based on the “wrong” information.
