SGC gives thanks to Karen for her inspirational words, created in her “Messages from the Rose” Card Deck.
We don’t have a last name for Karen, she was one of our consignment family from when we had our physical store front, many years ago, We are grateful to have retained one deck of Karen’s cards, and we are delighted to share her positive outlook with you all.
August 6 2025:
“Treasure your profound sense of humour,
Honour the ability to laugh amid strife and earthly furor,
When life becomes too intense and you simply need to vent,
Allow your humour to unfold for it is a gift that is heaven sent,
To have the ability to simply laugh at the trials that continually press,
Your laugher then becomes a much needed release from tension and stress”.

Moon in 2nd Quarter
August 9th @3:55 am(ET) @12:55am (PT) the moon, while still in the last degrees of Aquarius becomes FULL. All of the traits of the moon in Aquarius will be amplified, bigger then usual… take care when it comes to taking risks or being “rebellious” Could be a fantastic time to finish up any technology projects. The Full Moon is the best time to get down to business and finish up all the little chores we may have on the go, of course, we can’t attend to them all, but at least we might be able to get some finished up. Aquarius is ahead of the curve in most things, and is quite capable of doing many things, so this could be a good time for something “new” to come to fruition, that may have been sitting in the back corner for the last little while. There may be a slight Pisces “flavor” to this full moon along with the Aquarius influence.
August 10th: Moon in 3rd quarter
August 10th: Opportune Time @4:53 am (ET) @1:52am (PT) until the moon enters Aries on the 12th: “With Mercury just runing direct, this long OP is great for the arts, mind expansion, and making remarkably good connections, aided by the Venus-Jupiter Conjunction” PB

August 11th: Moon void of Course @2:55 am (ET). There is one aspect before the moon goes voc, Moon in Pisces Trines Venus in cancer.
August 11th, NOTE Mercury turns direct @3:30am (ET) @12:30am (PT). However, all will not go smoothly until Mercury has exited it’s storm on August 17th.

Void-off-Course: July 26 @7:02am (ET) @4:02am (PT) to moon into Virgo later in the afternoon: Leo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
Opportunity Period: July 25th 10:58 am (ET) 7:58 am (PT) to void of course moon.
“Wait two hours after the conjunction to allow enough separation of the Moon from the Sun and use this OP for self-improvement, relationship building or what ever interests you” PB
What does it all mean?
The Leo Moon Loves Drama, so be warned…
The Leo Moon loves to noticed and recognized, so be prepared to “pump up” your loved ones and if you happened to have a Leo influence in yourself, be aware of how you may be going about getting recognized or appreciated… If you play your cards right this could be a positive time when you get to be where you need to be.
Try not to be overly “vain” and be prepared for drama at any-time from any direction
Try not to over react and if it’s not you doing the over reacting, try not to get caught up in the drama, or to encourage the over reactor
It’s a good time to check out the local talent, take in a down town show, get starry-eyed with your lover, or perhaps look for a new one, as romance is high on the priority ladder during this time.
Might prove positive for hair cuts, make overs.

All of the above will be “bigger” under the New Moon energy, presently in the 4th quarter.
It is said that the new moon is a good time to begin projects, relationships, jobs etc… Wait until the 19 when she is fully into the 1st quarter to begin anything.
Leo interests such as FUN, Speculation, Children, Creativity and Animals will be highlighted during this months New Moon.
The Sun moved into the sign of Leo on July 22 @9:29 am (ET) @6:29 am (PT).Leo is organized, creative, smart and can be slightly lazy, but he/she usually always steps up to the plate when the need is real…
Risk takers, the Leo can accomplish much in life, but they must be careful of not taking risks just for the sake of taking them… Leo is a fixed, fire sign, with Aquarius being the opposite sign to Leo… Happy Birthday to all the Leo’s out there, we wish you a year ahead filled with good health, prosperity, love and tons of fun…
The Moon and Astrology
How it affects our daily lives…
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)
The Moon Void-of-Course:
There are times throughout the month when the moon is not fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…
Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:
These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.
Cancer
Taurus
Sagittarius
Pisces…
Opportunity Periods (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):
There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.
Thanks to Paula Belluomini astrologer, and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods, and moon/planetary movements and times.

What does it all mean?
Libra has a need for balance, indicating this moon period may be an ideal time to implement some into our daily lives.
A desire for justice may be present, dealing with issues that have upset our sense of justice may prove to be productive.
Diplomacy is likely to be more apparent during the next few days, and may be a good time to bring up that topic you have been putting on the back burner.
Hesitation is probably going to raise its head, we may see many sides of a story and find it difficult to make up our minds.
Difficulty in making commitments or long-term decisions, because we can’t make up our minds. If this is the case perhaps wait a few days until the moon has moved out of Libra.
Co-operation should be in the air, making this an ideal time to make plans with others.
For some, new relationships could be on the agenda.
May be a good time to improve our appearance and surroundings.
May be great time to go bargain hunting,

Notes on Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse in Virgo:
Virgo is connected to service, to helping others, and to working…
She takes note of her health and worries about the health of others,
She takes note of all the little details missed by most of us,
She thinks of things that no one would think of, she worries more then the rest of us…
She can suffer from nervous strain, and may sometimes be called hyper…
The Full Moon is a good time to reduce our “bag” of non essentials, this can be people, jobs, situations our health, anything that is dragging us down or interfering in our path forward.
The Lunar Eclipse will amplify the “power” of this months full moon.
A Full Moon in Virgo will having us noticing every little thing, and might have us worrying over things that we have no control… don’t fret, just take things one step at a time. This Full Moon is likely to affect those with strong Virgo traits, and to a lessor extent, those with Pisces traits.
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

Opportunity Period: None
What does it all mean?
Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them, or at least have someone else see to them for you.
Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so needs things to be “correct” or “perfect”. If you are a Virgo, or have Virgo personal chart placements and you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly the way you had expected, be gentle and patient. 😊
The Moon in Virgo can be good for the following activities:
Break Habits (Better if the moon is in the 3rd or 4th quarter):
Canning foods (Better if the moon is in the 3rd or 4th quarter):

Moon in 6th house
Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury.

NOTES: Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Mercury Retrograde
Full Moon ☺
Full Moon in 23 degrees Virgooccurs on Thursday, March 14 @ 11:55pm (PT) March 14 @ 2:55 am (ET).The full moon is a good time to finish up projects, and to end anything that is no longer helping us along our life journey… Sometimes this may mean relationships come to an end or change… such as friends moving away, leaving a job or finishing school. We can utilize the full moon to symbolically remove things or people from our lives which prove to more challenging than productive. Simply, grab pen and paper and jot down what it is that you would like to change in your life. find a heat proof container big enough to catch the ashes, (like a big ashtray or bowl) light a candle… read your list, you can read it out loud or to yourself… once read, and digested, light the paper and let it burn, the ash symbolically takes your words and wishes (in the smoke) into the Universe to dispense them as wished.
NOTE 2: There also a lunar eclipse with this months full moon. 😊 An eclipse can amplify the “power” of the Full Moon. The moon is connected to our emotional self, the lunar eclipse this month may mean that we feelthings on a deeper level, or we may not understand why we are feeling the way that we do, perhaps we are feeling frustrated? Whatever we are feeling should be acknowledged and dealt with if possible, the Full Moon’s energy can assist us, as it’s the perfect time for release, giving up the space that is being occupied by things/people that do not lift us up, and allowing that space to be used for what/who does lift us up. No need to fret, trust in your instincts and, with the least amount of pain subjected on others, do what is right for you.
Note 3: March 14 @11:46pm (PT) March 15 @2:46 am (ET). Mercury goes retrograde, where he will remain until April 14th. “Projects initiated during this entire period may not work out as planned, It’s best to use this time for reviews, editing , escrows and so forth”. (Daily Planetary Guide)
Got a Question, send it along to us, we will try our best to source out an answer for you…

Void-of-Course: March 1 @3:05am (ET) @12:05am (PT) to moon into Aries later in the evening. Pisces is one of the fortunate signs for the Void of Course moon.
Opportunity Period: February 28 @ 6:32 pm(ET) @3:32 pm(PT) to void off moon. “Great Friday night to have fun, see old friends, and expand your mind” PB.
What does it all mean?
Pisces is compassionate and caring but can be taken for granted
Sometimes Pisces isn’t about helping others but helping oneself.
We can be more psychic during a Pisces moon, but we can also be easily deceived, so be sure of the “messages” received during this time.
Be careful if something sounds too good to be true, look for the hidden agenda
We can be susceptible to taking in stray animals and stray people now.
Our hearts can be broken or melted during this time depending on who is telling us what and what may be revealed now.
We can feel more spiritual with a Pisces moon, indicating this could be a good time to join a church or spiritual group
Keep an open mind when delving into new spiritual situations, ask questions and don’t believe everything you hear or see.
We can be wistful, impressionable, nostalgic and dreamy now.
This may be a good time to: Borrow money and Brew beer… :) Try not to drink all the profits away… ;)

NOTE:
The New Moon occurs on February 27 @ 7:45 pm (ET) @4:45pm (PT) in the sign of Pisces, 09♓41.
The new moon in Pisces will “ramp up” the influence of this sensitive and sometimes naïve sign. Be open to “messages” but also be aware of deception.
Traditionally, the New Moon is said to be a good time to start something new, a project, a relationship, a job, school, change of career etc., It is wise to wait until you can actually see the tiny silver of the moon before beginning anything new
This New Moon’s influence will be felt more by those who have Pisces or Virgo birth chart influences.
Friday, February 28th: Ramadan begins at Sundown.
Saturday, March 1st: Venus in Aries goes retrograde.
Venus rules Libra (and Taurus). Aries is ruled by Mars. Libra and Aries are opposites.. Making this position not an especially strong one..
When a planet goes into retrograde motion, it’s “power” can be upset, sometimes to a chaotic degree, at other times the upset is so subtle it doesn’t become apparent until later…
The best way to travel the retrograde “train” is to just ride along with it.. try not to make any important decisions if it’s possible.
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂
The Moon Void-of-Course:
