Samhain Public Ritual 

For those local to Montreal, a lot of us will be attending the Samhain Public Ritual at Studio Sundari.

“Samhain is a powerful, moving time of year when we reflect on the loved ones we have lost to death’s embrace. It is said that this is a time when the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest, which allows us to communicate with the dead easily, and it allows the dead to whisper to us.

For this Samhain ritual, we will be journeying to the boundaries between the living and the dead. You will be invited to approach the veil, see the shadows of the dead, and whisper your messages to them.

You will also be invited to do some divination for not only yourself, but for others.

We have rented the large room at Studio Sundari, so let’s fill it! Invite your friends and your family to share in this powerful experience. Happy Halloween!

Event: Residents are encouraged to bring forward “good quality” items which will be transferred for use by Habitat For Humanity ReStores, Canadian Diabetes Association, Goodwill and Salvation Army. Please Note: Hazardous waste, unwanted electronics, items that are overly worn, used or in disrepair will not be accepted. Your cooperation is appreciated… :) 

Reuse days take place once per month from now until October.

I recently read an article by David Suzuki which reminded me that even the smallest thing can have a big impact on our lives, our health and the health of our planet.

Do you use personal products such as body scrubs, facial scrubs or toothpaste containing microbeads? 

The tiny bits of plastic, less than five millimetres in diameter, are used as scrubbing agents. The problem is they are turning up everywhere, especially in oceans, lakes, and along shorelines and they are not biodegradable.

Research by the 5 Gyres Institute found an average of 43,000 beads per square kilometre in the Great Lakes, with concentrations averaging 466,000 near cities.

Love Who you A personal lesson:  When I was in my early 20’s I remember trying to please everyone- my family, my friends, my boss – and pretty soon I was feeling miserable and burnt out. Why? Because I had forgotten about ‘me’ in the process.
