Mercury the planet of communication and technology has been in Retrograde motion since the end of August 2016. He turns direct again on September 22nd. However, he is still in his “storm” until September 25… this means the effects of the Mercury retrograde are still in effect until that day… it is therefore advisable to put of starting anything new until after the 25th… :)

Transiting Mercury goes Retrograde August 30 to October 22 2016

  • Astrological “Event”: Mercury goes Retrograde
  • Date(s) August 30 to October 22 2016
  • Time Line: He enters his storm August 22 2016: Goes Retrograde August 30 until October 22: back in “storm” until October 31 2016: It’s best to keep all new projects on hold from ***August 25 to October 31*** if possible.

What does it all mean?

  • Mercury is the planet of communications, he is also a messenger and likes to do two things at once. He rules Gemini and Virgo.
  • Retrograde motion means that from the earth’s perspective, it appears that the planet Mercury is going backwards.
  • Our communications and organizational skills may not be up to par during this time.
  • Messages can get misinterpreted or misplaced.
  • We can miss appointments during this period, so check your date book frequently and place all scheduled appointments in your date book or phone in a place you will see them often.
  • It’s not a good time to begin anything until after October 31, if it’s at all possible. Projects begun now are not likely to go as planned. If they do end up working out, there is likely to be stress and challenges and some changes regarding the original plan. However, as they say “forewarned is forearmed”, being aware is sometimes half the battle.
  • Be prepared to redo things.
  • It’s the perfect time to review, redecorate, renew….
  • It’s advisable that we check and double-check the fine print before signing on the”dotted line”.
  • Stick to hobbies already begun.
  • Don’t be disappointed if things don’t go exactly as planned regarding our “down time”.
  • Take extra care when sending out invitations to an event, make sure you have the date, time and place correct… or else you  may find you have to get them printed all over again.
  • Be Prepared have more than one thing on the go at once, however, take care not to add more to your agenda then you can comfortably do, else run the risk of mixing up your “homework” or dates.
  • Relationships might have to be re-assessed
  • Beginning August 25 2016 Write down any new creative ideas, note the time and re visit the list after October 31 2016.
  • Mercury goes retrograde in Virgo... Virgo is ruled by Mercury… Folks who have Virgo strong in their natal charts may have a somewhat more “interesting time” with this retrograde than the rest of us. Some of Virgo’s strong points are “attention to detail” and “being of service to others” Some of Virgo’s challenging points are “worrying too much” and “being too critical”: It is suggested that under this Mercury Retrograde we take the time to think before speaking, writing or emailing. Our thoughts could get muddled in a “river of worry”, making it more difficult for us to see answers or possible solutions. It is best to keep in mind that nothing happens in five minutes, sometimes we just have to patient… Things don’t always come out the way we had planned… stay focused, don’t be too hard on yourself or on others and do what you can with what you’ve got… :)

    • What does it all mean?
    • Aquarius is “different”,  he is ahead of his time and capable of thinking and “seeing” things in a different way then the rest of us.
    • Aquarius is ruled by Uranus,  the planet of  shock and chaos.
    • We may feel may inclined towards kindness, especially on a “global” level or towards animals, the elderly and those worse off.
    • Getting along with our four-legged friends may be on the top of our list now.
    • The time may be right to understand/learn about new technology, such as a new phone, tablet or t.v.
    • This moon period can bring out the rebel in us, prompting us to try new things and or meet new people.
    • Be careful not to break tradition just because one feels like being different or as some may see it, “difficult” Teenagers may feel the need to express themselves, so parents be for warned.
    • Personal freedom and individuality is very important now. Partner’s try not to restrict each other’s movements. Parent’s it might be a tight line you walk now. Employer’s give your “worker’s” a little “slack”.
    • Being organized might not be as easy now, so expect weird schedule’s and interrupted meetings…
    • Changes may be in the air…
    • In the 4th house: Affairs relating to our domestic situation may be high on the agenda… if they aren’t, it’s a good time to make them so, especially during the opportune time… tidy, organize, cook, create to make your house the home you need… :) Spending time with family and loved ones could go well and announcements of pregnancies and weddings could be in the air.
    • In the 5th house: Once you have all your domestic chores seen to :) make time for entertaining with friends and family… Playing with kids and pets is awesome therapy now… they allow us to see things from a different perspective, one that is simpler and all about fun… :)
    • Could be a good time for inventions… Perhaps keeping them to paper until after the 24th is advisable if the goal is for the invention to work.
    • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And too will those with strong Cancer or Leo placing in their charts.
    • Moon in Aquarius
    • Sun in Aquarius
    • Uranus in Aquarius
    • Moon in the 4th or 5th house
    • Moon in Cancer
    • Any aspects between the Moon and Uranus .

  • With the full moon in Aquarius all of the above traits will be stronger, especially for folks with Aquarius or Leo in their charts.
  • There will be a tendency towards rebellious and fanatical actions… the breaking of old traditions may also be on the agenda… personal causes may feel more urgent… take care not to go over board, let logic lead you when your heart gets a little outta hand… :)
  • For some folks this could be a good time to let go of bad habits, people and situations as the Full Moon is traditionally known as the completion of a cycle…..
  • During this month’s full moon take the time to review what it is you feel you need to discard, but don’t do anything rash… if possible wait until the 24th to make your choices permanent.

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon: These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer: Taurus: Sagittarius: Pisces:

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

Hi :)

In America, July is the month that we celebrate our independence.

The first three weeks in July are ruled by the sun sign Cancer, so July carries ‘family’ energy. We barbecue, swim, gather with friends, and family, making memories and creating our versions of heaven.

The versions of ‘heaven’ that we are creating are the moments that, when we die, we will re-experience. So, when you wonder what a deceased loved one does with their time, when they’re not spending it around us, they are doing the things they loved the most.

They are ‘getting married’, or playing with their small children, celebrating Christmas, any moment that was one of the happiest days of their lives.
So, make sure that you’re reveling in life, and building up your library of moments to re-visit when you die.
BIG NEWS, we have launched the all newAllisonDuBois.com. Much of the old content is still available. I am adding videos and new content each week.

Ever since I was a little girl, I could speak with the dead. The first contact I can remember was when I was six and my grandfather, who had died that day, came to me to let me know everything was o.k..

Some young people are born with this ability, and I have advice for them. The thing about young people, is that they lack the experience to be able to relate to a lot of people.

Through the years, I have been fortunate enough to personally experience a lot in life. I have also been fortunate enough to read for thousands of people. Each one is an opportunity for me to learn something new.”
