The Full Moonis in Leo on February 8 @ 11:33pm (PT) and February 9 @ 2:33 am (ET) . when the moon reaches her fullness phase, it is said to be the best time to finish up projects and ideas already begun. It is a time of completion… Depending on which house it falls in in your chart will determine which area of life is coming to fruition.
We can start things now, but they may take longer to come to fruition and/or they may not come out anywhere near what we had been hoping.
However, life doesn’t always allow us to work with the phases of the moon, so if you have to start something under this full moon, take extra care when dealing with legal matters relating to said project and be especially clear in your communications. Mercury the planet of communications is sitting in the sign of Pisces right now, so be careful what you believe..
If you aren’t on the same page now with those involved in your new project expect delays and possible misunderstandings leading to upsets.
Be sure to take into consideration any negative effects of the moon in Leo as they will be much stronger when the moon is full.
What does it all mean?
The Leo Moon Loves Drama, so be warned…
The Leo Moon loves to noticed and recognized, so be prepared to “pump up” your loved ones and if you happened to have a Leo influence in yourself, be aware of how you may be going about getting recognized or appreciated… If you play your cards right this could be a positive time when you get to be where you need to be.
Try not to be overly “vain” and be prepared for drama at any-time from any direction
Try not to over react and if it’s not you doing the over reacting, try not to get caught up in the drama, or to encourage the over reactor
It’s a good time to check out the local talent, take in a down town show, get starry-eyed with your lover, or perhaps look for a new one, as romance is high on the priority ladder during this time.
Might prove positive for hair cuts, make overs.
The moon in the 10th house may make us more aware of our work, vocation or passion, be prepared to put your back into it, however, keep any drama or bossiness to a minimum if you want to get noticed in the work place in a positive way.
This moon period will affect everyone, but more so those who have the following in their charts:
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)
The Moon Void-off-Course:
There are times throughout the month when the moon is not fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…
Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:
These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.
Cancer
Taurus
Sagittarius
Pisces…
Opportunity Periods (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):
There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.
Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

Venus is the planet of money and beauty, she is the most feminine of the planets and is sometimes referred to as the “Goddess of Love” She rules Libra and Taurus.
Aries is all fire and action, he can be selfish or be our hero. Aries is ruled by Mars and the opposite of Libra on the chart wheel.
Watch the wallet, we may want to spend more than we should, esp on clothing and the like.
Impulsive spending may also be on the agenda. Sticking to a budget might be nearly impossible, but you will thank yourself later
Rushing into a new personal relationship can be a reality under this influence, so be extra careful in this area, unless you are 100% sure.
A tempting time to “live in the lap of luxury”
We could be open to heart ache under this influence
Some partners may be more selfish than usual
Take care not to get too wrapped up in your own desires and needs. This is fine if you only have you to love/hurt but it’s not nice to upset a loved one, just because you feel it’s your turn to be “special”.
This astrological event will have a slight effect on everyone but will have a stronger effect on the those who have any of the following in their charts.
Void-of-Course: February 5 @9:20 am (ET) @ 6:20 am (PT)
Opportunity Period: February 4 11:27 pm(PT) February 5 12:07 am (ET) to void of course moon.
What does it all mean?
Gemini is an air sign and needs lots of stimuli. She is ruled by Mercury.
The house connected to Gemini is the 3rd house of: day-to-day travel/affairs and siblings… we could find ourselves busy with multiple things going on, even if they are just in our own minds… ;) Dealings with family, especially siblings, are likely.
We may find we are trying to do multiple things at once, which may not go exactly as we had planned. If you do find you have tons of ideas spinning around in your head, take pen to paper and jot them down… it will ease the “inside chatter” and you may find some of them useful later on.
Could be lots of chit chatting going on, and some of us may have to make a concerted effort to listen instead of chat.
Caution is advised when doing up letters, emails and relaying messages, as much as we may think we have it right, it’s better to check one more time.
It’s a good time to get those lists and notes made up… we can feel good about putting pen to paper now.
Boredom may be at our door step and we may feel more restless than usual.
The moon in Gemini may be a positive time for: entertaining guests, getting a hair cut to discourage growth, mowing the lawn to retard growth and sending out mail.
This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
Sun in Gemini
Moon in Gemini
Moon in the 3rd house (equal)
Mercury in Gemini
Ascendant in Gemini
Midheaven in Gemini
Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury
Those who have a strong Scorpio or Sagittarius influence in their chart
Mercury moves into Pisces on February 3 @ 6:37 am (ET) 3:37 am (PT)
Mercury rules communications, technology and transportation
Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo and is connected to the 3rd and 6th houses:
Pisces is ruled by Neptune and connected to the 12th house.
Our thinking may be kinder and we can be more compassonate towards those less fortunate then us… Some of us may be tempted to “rescue” stray animals and stray people.
Some folks can be easily led under this influence, as they are apt to believe just about anything that is told to them…
For others, it may be easier to tell half truths, or to decieve others and the self… Take care what you believe, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is…
Water may find itself into odd places, so take care with water on or near communication and technology devices, such as phones and computers… Water may also find it’s way into boats and other modes of transportation, especially when Mercury goes retrograde in the next week or so…
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

Date: January 21 @ 9:00 pm (PT): January 22 @ 12:00 am (ET)
Moon Sign: Capricorn
Moon Phase: 4th
Void-of-Course: January 23 @ 9:08pm (ET) 6:08pm (PT) to Moon in Aquarius on the 24th : Capricorn Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs” Try not to make any important decisions or commitments until later on in the evening.
Opportunity Period: None
What does it all mean?
Capricorn is business, duty and discipline. She is ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions.
We may be more in tune with our work/career or vocational direction.
Change may be more challenging to deal with, and we may be resistant towards it…
Being disciplined towards our “duties/chores” may be easier to achieve.
Dealings with the elderly may be in focus.
Dealings with “authority” types, such as teachers, principles, supervisor’s may be in focus. Being respectful of such positions may help to alleviate tension.
This could be a good time to get mundane business tasks out-of-the-way
If you have been waiting to get a “chaotic” situation under control, now may be a good time to do it.
Rules and regulations may be in focus, and depending on how you deal with these, it could be a favorable time or a stressful one.
Good time to watch, listen and learn
We may find we are looking at our “worth” now, including the salary we get paid.
We are happy to work for our “keep”, knowing we are doing a good job.
This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have a strong Cancer placing in their charts.
In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)
