Present Moon Sign/Quarter/House:

johfra-bosschart-virgo.jpeg
  • Date: August 29 @ 7:57 pm (ET) @ 4:57 pm (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Virgo
  • Moon Quarter: 4th
  • Void-of-Course: August 31 @ 4:46 am (ET) 1:46 am (PT) to Moon in Libra later in the evening:  Virgo Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • House(s): 11th house of hobbies, community, friends and humanatarin efforts
  • Opportunity Period: None
What does it all mean?
  • Virgois all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better 🙂
  • Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
  • It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
  • Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so need things to be “correct” or “perfect”. Try to give yourself and others a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
  • In the 11th house: If you have been thinking about volunteering, now is the perfect time for you to start… we can feel kinder towards our community and those who have less then us… It is also the perfect time to get your head into a beloved hobby, and to hang out with friends…
  • This moon’s influence is positive for: Breaking “bad” habits, Canning foods, Fixing cars, Hair cut (for less growth), sending mail or starting a diet.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
  • Moon in Virgo
  • Sun in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • Mid-heaven in Virgo
  • Moon in 6th and or 11th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon, Venus or Mercury.
  • And those who have a strong Piscean placement in their charts..

NEW MOON occurs on Friday August 30th @ 6:37 am (ET) and @ 3:37 am (PT).

The New moon is traditionally known as a good time to begin a new project, job or relationship…. Saturday the 31st is likely the best time for new endeavors under this new moon…. Check that other factor are favorable before committing to any new situations, especially if they are to be long term… Situations that involve communications, transportation and technology are likely to be the most successful….

Take care not to be too critical, towards the self and others…

It can be a very productive time at work, this includes community work, volunteer work, vocational work and hobbies…

Because the new moon is the sign of Virgo, Mercury is in the sign of Virgo and the Sun is in the sign of Virgo… This could be a great time for new writing material… so if you are a writer, have wanted to be writer or just need to get pen to paper for whatever reason… 🙂

Mercury moves into the sign of Virgo until 14th of September

Shining blue neon zodiac Mercury vector symbol
  • Mercury is the planet of communications, technology and transportation… He rules Virgo and Gemini
  • Virgo pays close attention to details, works hard and does what is needed… Virgo is also critical of themselves and others.
  • Mercury is comfortable in Virgo, as he rules her… Details at work will take precedence over other things making this a good time to get ahead in work projects… However, it is easy to get so caught up in the details, busy taking care of the little things, that we can miss out on the bigger picture…. take a step back and look up and around once in a while… 🙂
  • Exercise and a healthy diet will help to take care of any of nervous tension or anxiety, which can be an issue for some folks when Mercury visits with Virgo…
  • If you have been thinking of going on a job search, and if other factors “agree” as Mercury visits with Virgo, it can be an excellent time to proceed…. as is reviewing and updating personal career/work/vocational goals.
  • Team work should proceed smoothly, making this an excellent time to delegate work, and/or to get involved in community events…
  • Friends and socializing can help to release pent up energy/emotions, and is highly recommended.

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

The Full Moon

  • The Full Moon in Virgo: The moon becomes full this month on Sunday March 12  in the sign of Virgo. There is a sign change later into the night into the sign of Libra… there may be a slight Libran influence along with the Virgo influence.
  • The Full Moon will emphasis the above Virgo traits.
  • Virgo likes to hear the facts, ruled by Mercury she is keen to ask questions and do her research… she can also think too much, causing her to see and feel all and any worry relating to a situation or a person..
  • We are encouraged this full to think before we act, especially for those of us who may be running on instinct, or those who easily manipulated by the woes of others…
  • Check out the facts and get the figures on paper, if it all looks good, go ahead… but if there is doubt perhaps it would be wiser to set this particular project or idea on the back burner for now…
  • Worry causes nothing but grey hair and wrinkles… 🙂 have fun with your plans…
  • Those with strong Virgo traits, take care not to criticize your loved to the point of pushing them away, everything has a silver lining and no one is perfect… 🙂

NEW MOON: September 1 2016

This months new moon will take on Virgo traits… the ability to see all the details, and a tendency to worry too much. While the new moon is the best time to begin a new project, it is advisable to wait until Friday the 2nd to do so. 🙂 Use this time to tidy up, see to loose ends, get some organizing down… 🙂 This New Moon will have a stronger effect on those who have Virgo influences in their chart. (see above).

How to set your intentions for on the New Moon…

What changes would you like to bring into your life now? The new moon is the perfect time to let the Universe know what it is you would like to bring into your world… ask for guidance in finding direction and focus… Once written out on paper and heartfelt words said, light the paper on fire and let burn in a heat-resistant container… (or ash tray) 🙂

(never leave a lit flame unsupervised: Not recommended for children/youth without adult supervision)

Solar Eclipse:

  • With the solar Eclipse happening in Virgo, emphasis will be placed upon health and work… While Virgo cannot help but see the detail in everything and strives for perfection, it is advisable to also see Pisces view of the world, compassion and understanding that to “err is human”
  • The influence of the Solar Eclipse may last up to 6 months, and can give some of us time to re-group and re-asses our priorities, especially our day-to-day activities.
  • It’s a good time to begin a new health regime, or to have a look at, and make changes to, our diet. If we aren’t feeling 100% in ourselves physically or emotionally, it’s time to find out why and get some solutions in order.
  • The next few months will be about the practical side of life, time spend at home, with family is on the agenda… seeing to appointments and making sure life is secure and everything is sorted…
  • This Solar Eclipse will affect everyone to a small degree, but will affect those with the following in their charts.

Virgo:Pisces:Gemini:Sagittarius

  • Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better 🙂
Try to give yourself and other’s a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
  • In the 11th house: Team work and co-operation within group activities is indicted. For some folk being emotionally distant can be easier now.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have a strong Aquarius or Pisces placement in their charts..
  • Moon in Virgo
  • Sun in Virgo
  • Venus in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
  • Mid-heaven in Virgo
  • Moon in 6th and or 11th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury.
  • Midheaven in Virgo
  • Ascendant in Virgo
