Astrology and how it affects our daily life: Mercury and Venus into Aries

Astrological Event: Planets moving into a new sign
Date: March 6 2018: Mercury @ 11:34 pm March 5 (PT) and 2:34 am March 6 (ET)
Event: Two planets move into a new sign: Mercury and Venus both move into Aries: Mercury will remain in Aries (via retrograde) until May 14. Venus will remain in Aries until the beginning of April.

What does this mean?Mercury into Aries:

Mercury is the planet of communication, technology and transportation. He is the ruler of two signs: Gemini and Virgo.

Aries is a fire sign, he can be selfish, forward thinking and brave. He is action.

Mercury in Aries: It’s all about getting things done now… no more talking or planning it’s time for action. We can be more forthcoming in our conversations now and some of us will be braver about our speech, we aren’t as shy about saying what we mean and speaking up and out for ourselves and loved ones. However, for those who have more than one fire in their charts, it might be wise to “dampen” down the blunt side of your conversations… ;) Extra care should be taken when driving, the speed signs are there for a reason… When rushing about trying to get things done, patience is recommended, it’s easy to get a bump on the noggin or a cut on the finger through rushing too much..

Venus into Aries

Venus is the planet of money, relationships, beauty, love and all things nice… ;) She also rules two signs, Taurus and Libra.

Aries is the opposite sign of Libra. He is ruled by Mars, the planet of action/war.

Venus in Aries: Wow what a combination for all the lovers out there… Those in relationships that have just begun or on the verge of beginning can expect the relationship to either move ahead, or stop… there is no more time for wondering. In the physical department, it’s likely to be more “active” and a lot of fun.. ;) … The down side to this combination is that some relationships may come to a rather quick end… which will be a challenge for the more sensitive folks, especially if they didn’t realize anything was amiss… :(.  Watch the budget while this influence is about, Venus loves beautiful things, Aries can be generous and other times he can appear to be “frugal”… However, fun can be had and beautiful things purchased when Venus and Aries are in positive aspect to one another… :)

Astrology and how it affects our daily life: Jupiter turns retrograde: March 8 2018

Astrological Event:

Jupiter enters Retrograde Motion…

Date: March 8 2018

Time: 11:45 pm (ET) 8:45 pm (PT)

In the Sign of: Scorpio

What does this mean?

    • Jupiter is the planet of expansion and luck… when he goes retrograde situations might not “grow” as quickly, or our plans may not go the way we may have expected them too. However, because Jupiter is a benefice (beneficially) planet, the effects of the retrograde motion is unlikely to be too devastating

    • Scorpio is the most intense of all of the zodiac signs, she feels everything completely … which can cause trouble sometimes… for Scorpio herself and those around her…

    • Jupiter rules the sign of Sagittarius which is a fire sign, Scorpio is a water sign and is ruled by Pluto… Some folks may be feeling a “dispute” between emotions and logic… torn between what are lies and what is the truth… Sagittarius needs to know the truth.. Scorpio can lie to save herself or someone she loves… all done with the best intentions…

    • We should be on the look out for a decrease in our energy levels, a stronger desire to have more, be better or know everything…

    • Folks who are usually “lucky” might find that Lady Luck is having a bit of a vacation… risk taking and speculation should be kept to a minimum when possible.

    • Weight gain may occur, especially in those who have a hard time with physical exercise…

    • Sports minded folks,  may not have the optimism or energy level they are used to, but it’s only for a little while and some folks may actually need a break…

    • Everyone will be affected by the Jupiter Retrograde, however, folks with the following in their charts are likely to be affected the most…
  • Sun in Sagittarius
  • Sun in the 9th house
  • Jupiter in Sagittarius
  • Ascendent in Sagittarius
  • Midheaven in Sagittarius
  • Any aspects to Jupiter, the Moon or the 9th house
  • Moon in Sagittarius

Inspirational words: SGC Admin from our inbox to you from Madisyn Taylor on “sitting with feelings”

Sitting With Feelings

BY MADISYN TAYLOR

Taking the time now to sit with your feelings and acknowledge them will save you much distress down the road.

It can take great courage to really sit with our feelings, allowing ourselves to surrender to their powerful energies. All too often we set our feelings aside, thinking we will deal with them later. If we don’t deal with them, we end up storing them in our minds and bodies and this is when anxiety and other health issues can arise. Denying what our bodies want to feel can lead to trouble now or down the line, which is why being in the thick of our feelings, no matter how scary it seems, is really the best thing we can do for ourselves.

One of the reasons we tend to hide or push aside our feelings is that we live in a culture that has not traditionally supported emotional awareness. However, as the connection between mind and body–our emotions and our physical health– becomes clearer, awareness of the importance of feeling our feelings has grown. There are many books, classes, workshops and retreats that can help us on our way to emotional intelligence. We can also trust in our own ability to process what comes up when it comes up. If sadness arises, we can notice its presence and welcome it, noting where in our bodies we feel it, and allowing ourselves to express it through tears or a quiet turning inward.

When we simply allow ourselves to fully feel our feelings as they come, we tend to let them go easily. This is all we are required to do; our feelings simply want to be felt. We often complicate the situation by applying mental energy in the form of analysis, when all we really need is to allow, as the earth allows the rain to fall upon it. As the rain falls, the earth responds in a multitude of ways, sometimes emptying out to form a great canyon, sometimes soaking it up to nourish an infinitude of plants. In the same way, the deeper purpose of our feelings is to transform the terrain of our inner world, sometimes creating space for more feelings to flow, sometimes providing sustenance for growth. All we need to do is allow the process by relaxing, opening, and receiving the bounty of our emotions
