The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life…Transiting Moon in Gemini April 2015

The Moon and Astrology

&

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-off-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

What does it all mean?

  • Gemini is an air sign and needs lots of stimuli. She is ruled by Mercury.
  • We may find we are trying to do multiple things at once, which may not go exactly as we may have planned.
  • Could be lots of chit chatting going on, and some of us may have to make a concerted effort to listen instead of chat.
  • Caution is advised when doing up letters, emails and relaying messages, as much as we may think we have it right, it’s better to check one more time
  • In the 8th house: Watch out for possessive or jealous feelings when dealing with personal relationships. Our emotions can be more intense now indicating we may feel that more is going on than is really going on. Use any excess energy for sorting through items you no longer need, set up your donation pile and your garbage pile and set to it… :)
  • In the 9th house: This can be a good time to finish up a study session, or to begin a new one. We want to expand our minds now, so go ahead, but take care not to carried away. Travel may beckon us, go if you can, if not check out a fabulous travel show on t.v. Routines may get a shake up, those of us who need a routine to stay focused could be feeling emotionally out of sorts for the next couple of days.
  • It’s a good time to get those lists and notes made up… we can feel good about putting pen to paper now.
  • Boredom may be at our door step and we may feel more restless than usual.
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. And those who have strong Scorpio or Sagittarius placings in their charts.
  • Moon in Gemini,
  • Sun in Gemini
  • Moon in the 8th or 9th house
  • Any aspects to the Moon or Mercury

Spring Cleaning Feng Shui

Now that spring has officially sprung, it’s time to clear out the clutter and make way for a brand new season of growth. Here are 10 Feng Shui tips designed to bring renewed energy into your life — just look up the area you want to improve most!

Love and romance: Clear out the space beneath your bed
If you’d like a happier, healthier love life, look under the bed. Relocate any items you use regularly, then discard or donate the rest. By keeping the space beneath your bed totally clear, you’ll resolve any deceptions, hidden resentments, and childhood traumas that have affected your romantic relationships.

Communication: Erase old messages
Do you feel misunderstood or unappreciated? Then get rid of old emails, texts and voicemails. Letting messages accumulate can make it difficult to get your wants and needs across. If you want to hang on to messages for sentimental reasons, print them out or record them onto a CD or flash drive.

Family: Put stray photos into scrapbooks
If you’re struggling with family squabbles, put stray photos into albums. Frame ones that conjure up good memories, and display them in the gathering spaces of your home, like the living room and kitchen. Keep family photos out of the bedroom, especially if you want to maintain healthy boundaries with relatives.

Health and wellness: Clear out your kitchen cabinets
Do you feel tired, unhealthy or depressed? Then clean out your cupboards, refrigerator and freezer. Throw away any items that are past their freshness. Donate any canned goods that you don’t want to charity. If you are really determined to improve your health, purge your kitchen entirely of junk food.

Support: Donate nine items to charity
Does life seem like a constant struggle for you? Do you feel like you’re all alone? Collect nine serviceable items that you no longer want or use, then give them to charity. Of course, you don’t have to limit yourself to just nine items — the more stuff you give away, the easier it will be to attract the support you need.

Esteem: Empty out your medicine cabinet
Suffering from low self-esteem? Clear out your medicine cabinet! Get rid of any outdated prescriptions, old cosmetics and unwanted grooming products. Be honest about what you use and what you don’t. By streamlining your medicine cabinet and vanity area, you’ll project a much more confident image.

Time to enjoy life: Scrub the bathroom until it shines
Do you have time for the activities you love? If not, you need to scrub your bathroom from top to bottom. Bathrooms represent self-care. When yours are sparkling and clean, you’ll find more time for the people and things that give you joy. Splurge on new towels, bath mats and shower curtains while you’re at it.

Friendship: Stop toting garbage around
If people accuse you of being overly judgmental, lighten your personal load. Clean out your purse, briefcase, book bag and pockets. Don’t forget your wallet! Do this every evening for a week. The more streamlined your portable storage, the easier it will be for you to form new friendships and sustain old ones.

Inspiration: Wash your windows
If you feel uninspired or lack motivation, wash your windows. Windows represent your outlook on life. If yours are clean and sparkling, it will be easier to find your heart’s desire. This is a great cure for people who are in dead-end jobs or suffer from depression. Hire a professional if you’re not up to this labor-intensive task.

Energy: Empty out a single drawer
If you’re caught in a rut, do yourself a favor and empty out one drawer. It could be anywhere: your desk, your bureau, your kitchen. Throw away anything you don’t need, and relocate the rest to other areas. Leave the drawer empty for an entire week. Soon, you’ll find the energy to launch a full-fledged spring cleaning!

Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

Zodiac series - Taurus Stock Photo - 24477674
http://www.123rf.com:Copyright : shamain

  • Date: April 18 to April 20 2015
  • Moon Sign: Taurus: 5:31 pm (ET) 2:31 pm(PT)
  • Moon Phase:4th
  • Void-off-Course: April 19 2015 @ 7:07 pm (ET)4:07 pm (PT) to April 20 2015 @ 7:28 pm (ET) 4:28 pm (PT): Moon in Taurus v/c is one of the 4 “good signs”
  • House(s): 7th & 8th: … 7th house of relationships: 8th house of shared money matters, official financial dealings and desires.
  • Opportunity Period: A brief period on April 18 2:27 pm (ET) 11:27 am (PT) to 3:27 pm (ET) 12:27 pm (PT).

What does it all mean?

  • Taurus needs emotional and material security, so we may find we are more interested in our financial affairs.
  • This may prove to be a good time to make investments for the future or to begin plans for the next financially responsible phase.
  • Taurus has lots of patience, indicating this could be a good time to deal with people/projects/situations that take up more time than is liked.
  • Things that give us pleasure, such as comfort foods, wine, relaxing, good music and giving/receiving “loving’s” are all things we may enjoy right now
  • Some of us may be feeling more frugal than usual, preferring to save our funds instead of spend it.
  • Take your time when the moon is in this sign, there is no need to hurry, and you probably won’t get very far if you do… so sit back and enjoy the ride… :)
  • In the 7th house: Peace making is the name of the game. We can work with our partners now in a mutually beneficial way. Take care as to who we “hook up” with now, our desire is for harmony in our relationships both personal and business ones, and some of us may be willing to say “yes” to just about anything to make that happen. Venus is very comfy in the 7th house, she also rules Taurus indicating relationship issues may be more in focus for some of us then the rest. Taurus really enjoys comfort, and with Venus in the house of relationships all we may need is some cozy time with our loved one.
  • In the 8th house: Taxes, insurance and estate planning may be in the works, and some may benefit from an inheritance under this moon. Our emotions are intense now, but it’s best to hold them down if we can, as we may jump to conclusions or assume things we shouldn’t. We could also be prompted to share our deepest secrets, be sure you are sharing the right ones with the right people. This is a good time for folk who have been wanting to make positive changes, if you are feeling stronger on every level you are encouraged to go for the change.
  •  Keep your temper under check if you can, Taurus is very, very patient and it takes a lot to make her angry, but watch out once she has had enough, she will certainly let you know..
  • This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. Those with strong Libra and Scorpio placements in their charts will also be effected.
    • Moon in Taurus,
    • Sun in Taurus,
    • Venus in Taurus
    • Sun in Libra
    • Moon in Libra
    • Venus in Taurus
    • Moon in 7th or 8th house.
    • Any aspects to the Moon or Venus.

The New Moon in Taurus:

  • Try not to expect things to get done in a hurry this weekend, especially on Saturday.
  • Patience is the word of the day, so sit back and enjoy the fabulous beauty of nature, relax and soak up the good stuff. For those with fire in their charts this could be a challenging few days, and you are encouraged to find something fun to do to work off any excess energy.
  • This can be a good influence under which to get our finances in order, especially if we are willing to take our time understanding our option.
  • Don’t be rushed into making financial or investment decisions.
  • The New moon is traditionally thought of as the best time to begin anything new. The moon renews in Taurus on Saturday, moving out of the 4th quarter and into the 1st on Sunday the 19th. It is suggested we wait until Sunday or Monday to begin anything new.
