  • Our thinking can get a little iffy under this influence… make sure you aren’t assuming you know how people are feeling or what they are thinking
  • Mergers are possible now, both physical ones and financial ones

What does it Mean?

  • Mercury is the planet of communications and technology, he is what makes us think. He is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini
  • Libra is the sign of harmony, relationships and justice… She is ruled by Venus and is connected to the 7th house of relationships.
  • This could be a good combination for communications, especially those requiring thought.. although this combination may also lengthen a process, as Libra takes her time, weighing all the odds before making up her mind.
  • Communications in the work place can go well now, take care when  signing any contracts.
  • Business negotiations have a good chance of running smoothly, compromises can be made and “promises” kept… However, take care before signing any agreements… the good feeling that’s going around can cause us to make mistakes now.
  • This is good time to discuss relationship issues, if you have been waiting for the right time, it’s now.. 🙂
  • Beginning a new relationship during this phase, could work out in the positive. Honest communication with an open mind and heart is easier now.
  • This “event” will have an affect on everyone, but will have a stronger and longer affect on those who have the following in their chart… 🙂
    • Mercury in Libra
    • Venus in Libra
    • Mercury in the 7th house
    • Sun in Libra
    • Moon in Libra
    • Ascendant or Mid-heaven in Libra

The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life… Transiting Moon in Libra: May 2015

The Moon and Astrology

&

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂

The Moon Void-off-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

  • Moon Sign: Libra @ 5:42 pm (ET) 2:42 pm (PT)
  • Moon Phase: 2nd:
  • Void-off-Course: May 29 @ 4;20 pm (ET) 1:20: pm(PT) to May 30 @ 5:34 am (ET) 2:34 am (PT) Moon v/c in Libra is not one of the 4 void off course  “good signs” (see above).
  • House: 2nd: The house of financial and material security
  • Opportunity Period: None

What does it all mean?

  • Libra has a need for balance, indicating this moon period may be an ideal time to implement some into our daily lives.
  • A desire for justice may be present, dealing with issues that have upset our sense of justice may prove to be productive.
  • Diplomacy is likely to be more apparent during the next few days, and may be a good time to bring up that topic you have been putting on the back burner.
  • Hesitation is probably going to raise its head, we may see many sides of a story and find it difficult to make up our minds.
  • Difficulty in making commitments or long-term decisions, because we can’t make up our minds. If this is the case perhaps wait a few days until the moon has moved out of Libra.
  • Libra is happiest when in a relationship or partnership.
  • Libra can be tactful, diplomatic and co-operative. Yet when she visits with the 1st house she may appear to be selfish or less than sensitive to the needs/feelings of others. For those with Libra traits, be aware of your emotional responses for the next few days. For the rest of us, being understanding can help potentially sensitive situations run smoother.
  • In the 2nd house: Our financial, job prospects and living situation could be in focus now. For some each aspect (finances, job and residence) may all be connected. If capable of seeing things clearly positive choices can be made now.
  • This moon sign will affect us all but will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
    • Moon in Libra,
    • Sun in Libra,
    • Venus in Libra
    • Venus or Libra in the 2nd house

Focus is likely to be on relationships, making our surroundings beautiful. We may have to watch the budget as we are prompted to shop for the home, or visit places of beauty and inspiration. Traditionally the full moon relates to endings, things coming to fruition and or completion. Because Libra deals in relationships, and because up until April the 6th the moon is in the 1st house, some folk might be emotionally fragile right now when it comes to personal relationships. Baby steps and patience is recommended along with open, honest and compassionate communication regarding romantic “hiccups” which may occur over the next couple of days.

Lunar Eclipse April 4 2015:

When an eclipse happens it strengthens the influences, and will impact the house(s) involved on a deeper or longer lasting level. It is important that those who’s lives are affected more than usual during the Lunar Full Moon Eclipse take care when making commitments or decisions, keeping in mind the actions taken now may be have a lasting effect for the next 12 months. As the transiting moon is in Libra during this Lunar Eclipse, relationship issues and long-term decisions relating to such will likely be in focus.

New Moon September 23/24 2014

Our lady begins her renewal process on

September 24 (ET) September 23 (PT) 2014

The New Moon is about beginnings and starts … it’s the time to look forward and put new ideas and projects into motion. For September’s new moon, half an hour before she becomes new and half an hour after she has become new is an excellent time to start something important:

This Month’s New Moon begins in the 4th quarter and moves to the 1st quarter on 09/25/2014:

New moon in the 4th quarter. A good time to “draw back” to reflect on past events and what has been (or has not been) accomplished. Time to clear the slate and plan for the New Moon stage.

New Moon in the 1st quarter: Our lady becomes visible 5.5 to 12 hours after ‘her birth” (the time she becomes new) she is delicate but strong, eager to start anew almost with the innocence of a babe she wants to begin again and explore all that she can. This is the absolute best time to begin your new projects, especially any projects or ideas that relate to the home and family. Family is anyone you wish to include which for some may be college’s friends, neighbours and co-workers.

When the moon is void off course we can be unsure as to how we are really feeling about something or someone, it’s therefore advisable to stick to routine tasks at this time. If any legal documents or long-term commitments are in the picture take care to make sure you understand everything that is involved before signing… Delaying important decisions and commitments is highly recommended when the moon is void off course…

New moon in Libra in the 2nd house: What does it mean?:

  • Libra is all about partnerships and relationships
  • Our emotions will probably be tied up with the thoughts of lovers, partners, family, friends and all of our dealings with others
  • This may be a good time to begin a relationship/partnership
  • May prove fruitful if looking for a relationship
  • A good time to shop for the home, visit pretty places and decorate
  • People should be more friendly, polite and sociable
  • We may find ourselves pursuing balance in our life
  • Subjects dealing with justice or fairness may be on the agenda
  • We may have to help sooth or “put to right” upset emotionally situations

The Moon in the 2nd house:

  • This is the house of Finances and Material Security.
  • It’s about feeling “safe”. We need to feel grounded at some point and when the moon is in the 2nd house we have a better chance of being so.
  • We may dwell too much on our financial situation or worry about it
  • Watch the budget as we could also be prompted to spend more on “pretty things”
  • This may be a good time to check out our policies and look into investment opportunities, such as buying a home or opening up a bank account.
  • We may enjoy spending money on new clothes, manicure, hair cuts.

While influencing us all, this months new moon will have more influence on those with the following:

  • Moon in Libra:
  • Sun in Libra:
  • Moon in the 2nd house:
  • Chart ruler Venus:
  • Chart ruler Taurus:
  • Ascendant in Libra.
  • Midheaven in Libra
  • Aspects from the Moon to Venus
  • Transits to the moon and to Venus

Aspects/Transits: For those who have oppositions or square aspects to the moon, these may prove to be challenging times, if this is the case you are advised not to force issues at this time.  For those who have trines or sextiles, these may prove to be opportune times.

The Sun moves into the sign of Libra September 22 2013

SGC Admin:

In astrology, The sun represents our core being, it is the centre of who we are. Yet it is but a small part of us, as we must take into account the influence on us, from the other 9 “planets” in our present system.

The planet earth cannot survive without the Sun, and so it is with us, no matter how we may try to avoid or “run away” from the traits or our sun sign, they will always be a part of us… 🙂 Every sun sign has positive and negative traits, it’s best to work with the positive and accept the negatives keeping them under control and being aware of them as much as we can.

The Sun in Libra: Air: Cardinal: Masculine: The Scales:

It’s not easy being a Libra, we see both sides of just about every situation. We truly do not like confrontation and because Venus is our ruler, we have a tough time with anything that may be considered “icky”.

Making up our minds is sometimes exhausting and others can become impatient with us.

We try very hard to get along with everyone, but it doesn’t always work.

We see beauty everywhere, we love beauty and will make our surrounding reflect this if and when we can.

While we may not know how to go about making money, we do enjoy it as it brings us the ability to look nice, and to surround ourselves with nice belongings.

Most of us need a partner in our lives, we get along well one on one and have a romantic streak.

We need balance in our life like no other, and when it’s not available we can dive into depression..

We believe in fairness and justice, so much so that we can drive ourselves crazy trying to get others to see what we do, and many a times we are hurt by those who are less than fair.

We are the diplomats of the world and try very hard to “go with the flow”.  Yet we aren’t always the nicest of people if you catch us off our scales, we can hurt you with our words and sometimes we can be aggressive when we have reached our limit of caring…

Happy Birthday to all Libra people  with special hugs and love going out to the following:

Dustin, Neil Jr. Bev, Marie, Susan, Andrew, Steve C. and Gary… 🙂
