HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-off-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…

Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

The full moon is traditionally thought of as the best time to finish up projects. It is not a great time to begin anything new, and it’s thought that anything new begun at the time of the full moon will not work out as planned. :)

  • With the Full Moon in Gemini we may feel restless and fickle..
  • It’s a time when we can find puzzles and conversation easier and fun to do.
  • We may want two of everything, or feel that we should be doing two things at once.. If you can handle the juggling go ahead, but if you the type who needs some structure and routine in your life, you could be feeling slightly overwhelmed now.
  • As tempted as we may be to start a new and exciting project, it might be best to write down our ideas and wait until the moon has begun her renewal before we put ideas into action..
  • This full moon could prove to be a fun time if we let it and may prove handy for getting our Christmas corresponce finished up.

  • Date(s): October 29 2014
  • Time(s): 5:03 pm (ET)/3:03 pm(PT) to 11:00 pm (ET)/8:00 pm (PT)
  • Moon sign: Virgo. .
  • Other Planet(s) Involved: Mercury in Libra.
  • Void off Course: No. Void off Course begins as OP ends.

What does it Mean?:

Jim Shawvan, astrologer, over a 30 year period, has developed the Opportunity Period’s system. He shares his findings in Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide.

  •          An Opportunity Period (OP) is a period in which the aspects of the transiting Moon to other transiting planets show no interference with the free flow of decision and action. (Jim Shawvan)
  •        ” Opportunity Periods apply to everyone in the world all at once; although, if the astrological influences on your own chart are putting blocks in your path, you may not be able to use every OP to the fullest. Nevertheless, you are always better off taking important actions and making crucial decisions during an Opportunity Period.” (Jim Shawvan)

  • When an OP appears make the best of the time if possible.
  • Some OP times are very short and happen in the late hours of the night or early hours of the morning.
  • This OP is good for reviewing any ideas jotted down over the last few weeks while Mercury was retrograde or “slow”… Now you can have a clearer understanding of what ideas will work and which were just fancy thinking… :)
