Messages from the Rose Cards: Number 2

Inspirational words from the Rose Cards. Card pulled randomly from the deck on March 3 2025.

Do those around you see only in colors of black or white?

Do they miss the shades of grey, that come with experience and insight?

We send you support in this path that you currently walk.

We know how difficult it can be to maintain a truth while others judge or talk

Yet every time you choose compassion and love for you sister or brother

You reach beyond the limitations and become spiritually linked one to another

Inspirational words from “Messages from the Rose”

Hi Everyone: :)

When SGC was a physical store front, we were more than happy to help local folks hawk their wares in our store… We had a consignment program set up, mutually agreeable to us and the local provider.

One such item we had on consignment was a product called, “Messages From the Rose” A deck of lovely cards, each with inspirational messages to help guide one through the day. The cards were created by Karen, who’s last name escapes us.

We kept our store copy of these cards, and have been drawn to them throughout the years, especially, when needing extra guidance, during challenging times.

Here is portion of Karen’s words, shortened, taken from the paragraphs written on the packaging of the Cards.

Dear Friends:

The rose represents to me, the ultimate symbol of purity, compassion and love.

  • The Blossom, represents the essence of our soul
  • The stem represents our mental awareness
  • The thorns are our fears and emotional challenges
  • The leaves and branches are our strengths, courage and emotional joys.

These cards are put together with loving verses to help us live life in a gentle, compassionate manner

Pick a card and endeavor to anchor the message you receive in your heart throughout the day.

We would like to share with you these inspirational words….

Today’s Pick is:

Over the last few years you have sought the solace of solitude

You have built invisible walls to keep out the multitude

We now urge you to open once more to the those around

You will be surprised at  how many near you, now share a similar sound

Allow your heart and mind to feel the beauty these tender souls hold

Perhaps it is time dearest heart to finally come in from the cold.

Sitting With Feelings

BY MADISYN TAYLOR

Taking the time now to sit with your feelings and acknowledge them will save you much distress down the road.

It can take great courage to really sit with our feelings, allowing ourselves to surrender to their powerful energies. All too often we set our feelings aside, thinking we will deal with them later. If we don’t deal with them, we end up storing them in our minds and bodies and this is when anxiety and other health issues can arise. Denying what our bodies want to feel can lead to trouble now or down the line, which is why being in the thick of our feelings, no matter how scary it seems, is really the best thing we can do for ourselves.

One of the reasons we tend to hide or push aside our feelings is that we live in a culture that has not traditionally supported emotional awareness. However, as the connection between mind and body–our emotions and our physical health– becomes clearer, awareness of the importance of feeling our feelings has grown. There are many books, classes, workshops and retreats that can help us on our way to emotional intelligence. We can also trust in our own ability to process what comes up when it comes up. If sadness arises, we can notice its presence and welcome it, noting where in our bodies we feel it, and allowing ourselves to express it through tears or a quiet turning inward.

When we simply allow ourselves to fully feel our feelings as they come, we tend to let them go easily. This is all we are required to do; our feelings simply want to be felt. We often complicate the situation by applying mental energy in the form of analysis, when all we really need is to allow, as the earth allows the rain to fall upon it. As the rain falls, the earth responds in a multitude of ways, sometimes emptying out to form a great canyon, sometimes soaking it up to nourish an infinitude of plants. In the same way, the deeper purpose of our feelings is to transform the terrain of our inner world, sometimes creating space for more feelings to flow, sometimes providing sustenance for growth. All we need to do is allow the process by relaxing, opening, and receiving the bounty of our emotions

Walking through Your Fear

BY MADISYN TAYLOR

Frequently, in walking through our fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of sync with reality.

The situations, activities, and individuals that frighten us remain static. Their relative intensity does not change. Fear, on the other hand, self-magnifies. It is when you are afraid and envisioning all that might go wrong that the energy underlying your fear grows. A tiny flicker of anxiety can easily develop into a terror that manifests itself physically and eventually paralyzes you into inaction. Though frequently, in walking through that fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of synch with reality. And we learn that doing what frightens us can lead to great blessings. Confronting your trepidation head-on will help you accept that few frightening scenarios will ever live up to the negative disasters that we sometimes play out in our minds.

Though fear is literally an evolutionary gift meant to sharpen your senses and energize you during times of great stress, it can nonetheless become a barrier that prevents you from fulfilling your potential by causing you to miss out on rewarding, life-changing experiences. During the period before you face your fear, you may have to deal with a barrage of negative thoughts and emotions. Walking through it, whether your fear is public speaking, taking part in an activity that makes you nervous, or asserting yourself when the odds are against you, may be equally as difficult. But once you have emerged unscathed on the other side, which you will, you will likely wonder why you assumed the worst in the first place. As you spend time worrying about what might happen, it’s good to know that your fear probably won’t happen at all. It may feel like a great weight has been lifted from your shoulders, and you will likely feel a sense of passionate pride. Walking through your fear can mean taking risks and can require both practice and patience. Since it is challenging to act when you are gripped with fear, start small.

Each step you take into fear will strengthen you and help you confront future fears with poise, courage, and confidence. You will also find that when you are willing to stare your fear in the face, the universe will always offer you some form of aid or support. When you see the heights of accomplishment and personal evolution you can attain when you walk through your fears, your faith in yourself will grow, allowing your next step to be easier.
