WhitCAF is Coming!  
In a few short weeks the first Whitby Comic Arts Festival will be here! WhitCAF will take place on Saturday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Whitby Central Library. This festival has a local, literary focus and there will be activities designed for comic lovers of all ages.
Can’t wait until November 18th? These upcoming programs will get you in the spirit! There’s fun for folks of all ages.
Superhero Storytime (All Ages)
Superhero themed stories, songs, and much more! Come as your favourite superhero for this drop-in storytime! With four dates to choose from:
Brooklin Branch: (was on November 3)
Rossland Branch: Friday, November 10, 10:30-11:00 a.m.
Central Library: Wednesday, November 15, 6:30-7:00 p.m.
Central Library: Friday, November 17, 10:30-11:00 a.m.
 
Superhero Puppet Show (All Ages)
Enjoy a super-duper drop-in puppet show filled with heroes, villains and tons of laughs!
Rossland Branch: (Was on November 8)
Brooklin Branch: Friday, November 10, 4:30-5:00 p.m.
Comic Book Party (Grades SK-3)
Let’s celebrate some of our favourite comic and graphic novel characters. We’ll play games, read stories and create our own comics. Registration is required.
Central Library: Tuesday, November 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
 
Superhero Party (Grades JK+)
Are you faster than a speeding bullet? Can you move things with your mind? Come dressed as your favourite superhero! Registration is required.
Brooklin Branch: Friday, November 17, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Drinks n’ Doodles & WhitCAF Mixer (Ages 19+)  
A WhitCAF kickoff event! Socialize with other aspiring doodlers in a relaxed, judgement-free environment at The Royal Oak. Bring your own sketchbook, or use the tools provided. A selection of appetizers will be provided while quantities last! Registration is required to be a doodler, but after 8:30 you can mingle with some of WhitCAF’s artists, illustrators and vendors.
