  • Event: The LivingRoom’s second annual Little Art, BIG Difference secret art sale & fundraiser
  • Date: June ? 2015 (SGC does not have the exact date at time of “printing)
  • Location: Drop off art at: The LivingRoom Community Art Studio, 149 Simcoe St. S.
  • Drop off hours: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm only. 
  • Must Have’s: Each piece of art must be ready to hang or display: Sign pieces on the BACK ONLY (it’s secret) ;)
  • Piece Limit: Art makers are encouraged to submit up to 3 pieces. Each piece can be no larger than 8×8 inches. Each piece will be sold for $75:00 with all proceeds going to The LivingRoom
  • What’s it all about: “The LivingRoom is a registered not-for-profit that provides opportunities for people to make art for free or at a marginal cost”. 
  • Deadline for submission: May 22 2015 by 6:00 pm

  • Anyone with the desire to achieve real ‘Yoga’ (=union) can realize this inner awakening very naturally and simply.
  • All classes are free of charge.
  •  Monday evenings at 7:30pm for collective Sahaja Yoga meditation at the Pickering High School 180 Church St. N. Ajax, in Room #149.
  • Tuesday collective meditation class starts at 7:00pm at the Whitby Library (405 Dundas Street West, Meeting Room next to coffee shop on main floor, Room 1A)
  •  Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm at the Queen Elizabeth public school – 1205 Simcoe Street North (Oshawa) (first lights north of Beatrice, east side) in the school library room #131 (room on the right when you first walk in the main entrance).

All classes welcome beginners and experienced meditators alike.

  • Time: 9:00 am to 11:00 am only
  • What’s it all about? Donations of bikes are sent to Health Surveillance Assistants in the community of Malawi, Africa: The Health Surveillance Assistants travel between villages, usually by foot as there is no transportation available.  The villages are not always close to one another, sometimes kilometers apart. The bikes help the assistants to do their jobs quicker and safer.
