The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life…Transiting Moon in Taurus April 2019

Taurus: Zodiac Girl Series with Clipping Path Stock Vector - 4539055

Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

  • Date:  April 6 2019 @ 9:06 am (ET) @ 6:06 am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Taurus
  • Moon Phase: 1st
  • Void-of-Course: April 8th @ 4:29 am (ET) @ 1:29 am (PT) to Moon in Gemini later that afternoon : Moon in Taurus v/c is one of the 4 “good signs”
  • House(s): 10th house of career and public image.
  • Opportunity Period: April 6 @ 12:10 pm (ET) 9:09 am (PT) to moon into Gemini on Monday. Opportunities all weekend, for play or work… but most likely work related as the moon sits in the 10th house… Unless the moon is aspecting your personal chart in negative way.
  • Taurus needs emotional and material security, so we may find we are more interested in our financial affairs.
  • This may prove to be a good time to make investments for the future or to begin plans for the next financially responsible phase.
  • Taurus has lots of patience, indicating this could be a good time to deal with people/projects/situations that take up more time than is liked.
  • This could be a tricky position for some of us… please keep in mind that our partners (personal and business) are not our possessions… we must remind ourselves to give them their “personal space” just as they allow us ours… 🙂
  • For some of us, this influence may guide or push us to make some serious, long-lasting changes where our residential situations are concerned… Where we live and who we allow to share that very personal space with us is important…
  • Take care when making choices regarding, residential moves and financial investments… our emotions are tied up in our investments… and for some that may mean that their happiness is also tied up in the financial side of things…
  • In the 10th house. Because Taurus is ideally concerned with finances and personal security, and the moon relates to our emotions and reactions, it is likely that some of us may be taking a good long look at our work/career/vocation choices, to see if they measure up to our needs.
  • While the moon in Taurus will affect all of us, those with the following may feel the effects a little more. Those who have strong Scorpio in their charts to a lessor effect.
    • Sun in Taurus,
    • Venus in Taurus
    • Sun in Libra
    • Moon in Libra
    • Any aspects to the Moon, Venus.
    • Ascendant or Mid-heaven in Taurus
    • Moon in the 7th house
    • Moon in the 10th house

The Moon and Astrology

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon: These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…
Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

    • Date: April 3 2019 @ 3:27 pm (ET) 12:27 pm (PT)
    • Moon Sign: Aries
    • Moon Phase: 4th
    • Void-off-Course: April 5 @ 10:15 pm (ET) 7:15 pm (PT) to Moon into Taurus the next morning. Moon v/c in Aries is not one of the 4 “good signs” Make sure you get all the facts before making any commitments..
    • House(s): 9 th house of higher learning and travel
    • Opportunity Period: None
  • The New Moon is on Friday April 5th, it will fall in the sign of Aries. Those with personal planets in Aries… (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) will reap the benefits of the NEW MOON more than the rest of us… So listen up Aries folks (the sun is also currently in Aries)… It’s time to think about doing something new and exciting. Aries is a pioneering sign, he likes to rush off and be the first to explore…
  • The New Moon is an excellent time to begin something new, however, as she sits in the 4th quarter of the moon on the 5th, (4th quarter moon, is more suited to endings)… it may be better to wait until Saturday the 6th before putting ideas into action.
  • Those with a strong Libra in their charts may also, to a lessor extent, benefit from the positive effects of the New Moon.

What does it all mean?

  • Aries is action, he is the most masculine of the Zodiac signs as he is ruled by the planet Mars
  • We should have slightly more get up and go when the moon is in Aries
  • We are happy to defend our loved ones
  • We are apt to speak up more, even those of us who consider themselves to be “timid” can find the voice they need right now.
  • May be a good time to get your message across or to ask for what you need
  • Be careful when driving especially when upset or angry
  • We may be more susceptible to head injuries or head aches
  • We could be eager to start projects now, however, we have just experienced a full moon, (time to finish up) so if you really want to start something now, choose something small… 🙂
  • Be careful while engaging in physical activities, we may feel stronger or more “heroic” at the moment but our bodies might not be in the same “zone” 🙂
  • We may be more decisive than usual, as always use caution …
  • Be careful about saying yes to everything right now, we might feel like we can handle more, but when the time comes we could be sorry we took on so much at once.
  • Being healthy and feeling good so we can help others, or at the very least get our chores done may be on the agenda for the next few days.
  • Adults with a strong mars or Aries influence may be acting more like children than adults.
  • Some of us could be more insensitive or appear more selfish to others.
  • If you aren’t looking to enlarge your family right now, take care, Aries has a lot of sexual energy to utilize… 😉
  • In the 9th house of knowledge and travel. This is the house of a fire sign, (Sagittarius). Fire is energy… 🙂 Get out and about and see new things, even if it’s only in your immediate neighbourhood… and keep your eyes and ears open to all around you, it’s a brilliant time to pick up some new knowledge.
  • check your tempers fire people… know it’s only the “moon talking” sensitive water people… try not to “fan the flames” air people… Earth people, be open to compromise and flexibility. 🙂

The Moon in Aries will have a slight effect on all of us, but it will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts: Along with those who have a strong Libra placement in their charts

  • Moon in Aries:
  • Sun in Aries:
  • Ascendant or Midheaven in Aries:
  • Mars in Aries Sun in Libra:
  • Moon in the 1st house
  • Aspects to the Moon or Mars: Moon in the 6th house:
  • Mars/Aries in the 9th house:
  • Retrograde Planets:
  • When planets are in retrograde motion, and especially when more than one planet is retrograde at a given time, we can expect delays, misunderstandings, re-doing, re-assessing, re-modelling… Issues from the past may resurface, and situations may repeat themselves. Life is unlikely to be moving full steam ahead… patience is advised, along with checking and double checking our work and communication skills… If you don’t understand something, ask… even if you feel “silly” doing so, it’s better to ask now and find out what you need to know, instead of waiting for some time in the future to find out you may have made the wrong decision based on the “wrong” information.

The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life…Transiting Moon in Capricorn…March 2019

Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

Sign of the Zodiac, depicted in the form of jewelry. Stock Vector - 8673035

  • Date: March 27 2019 @ 10:07 am (PT) @ 7:07 am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Capricorn ♑
  • Moon Phase: 4th (this is a good time to finish up projects)
  • Void-off-Course: March 29 @ 8:05 pm (ET) 5:05 pm (PT) to moon in Aquarius an hour or so later: Capricorn Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs” Try not to make any important decisions or commitments now.
  • House(s)  3rd house of siblings and day-to-day affairs
  • Opportunity Period: None

What does it all mean?

    • Capricorn is business, duty and discipline. She is ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions.
    • We may be more in tune with our work/career or vocational direction.
    • Change may be more challenging to deal with, and we may be resistant towards it…
    • Being disciplined towards our “duties/chores” may be easier to achieve.
    • Dealings with the elderly may be in focus.
    • Dealings with “authority” types, such as teachers, principles, supervisor’s may be in focus. Being respectful of such positions may help to alleviate tension.
    • This could be a good time to get mundane business tasks out-of-the-way
    • If you have been waiting to get a “chaotic” situation under control, now may be a good time to do it.
    • Rules and regulations may be in focus, and depending on how you deal with these, it could be a favorable time or a stressful one.
    • Good time to watch, listen and learn
    • We may find we are looking at our “worth” now, including the salary we get paid.
    • We are happy to work for our “keep”, knowing we are doing a good job.
    • In the 3rd house, some folks may find they are spending more time with siblings …. day-to-day activities should go smoothly… although some folks may find they are busier then usual.

However, it will once again be “in storm” until it goes direct again on April 6th. It is not recommended that we start anything new while Mercury is in storm or in retrograde motion… nor is it recommended that we sign any important papers or make life changing, long-lasting decisions… However, life doesn’t work like that, and we may not always be able to follow such “rules”… In which case, it is better to be aware of such celestial events so we may understand (some what) why things aren’t going as we may have planned… Try not to take disappointments and set backs personally… and remember that it depends on where Mercury is sitting in YOUR personal chart as to which area of life will be affected for YOU.… When it comes to relationships, those begun in a Mercury retrograde may not last, or may not be what they appear to be, which will be shown in its truth once Mercury has settled back into direct motion… Write down any new ideas with the date and time they occurred.
