SGC Admin: Julien LeBourdais, Executive director at Feed the Need in Durham is asking for the public’s help in acquiring a lager space for the food donations.
Food donations are distributed in the community and to agencies. Food donations can come in skid loads from businesses and in smaller amounts from community residents.
The amount of people needing assistance with basic household items such as laundry soap and diapers is on the rise, and so too, luckily are the donation amounts. However, the space in which to store and organize the goods is getting smaller…
If you would like to help with space, volunteer your time or have questions please contact Mr LeBourdais at 905- 571- 3863or email him at: julien@ftdn.ca

SGC Admin: It can be tough these day to make our dollar stretch further, honestly between the tax man and the cost of living going up more than the wages coming in, one wonders how some people manage…
That’s why it’s great to have people like Joanne from the Violet Door in Bowmanville helping us out by offering “Customer Appreciation Days” at the beginning of each month … It’s nice to shop somewhere one is appreciated… :)
