The Moon and Astrology: How it affects our daily life… Transiting Moon in Libra February 2021

 Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

  • Date: February 1 @ 6:25 am (ET) @ 3:10 am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Libra
  • Moon Phase: 3rd
  • Void-of-Course: February 2 @ 10:15 pm (PT) February 3 @ 1:15 am (ET) to moon into Scorpio later on the morning of the 3rd. Moon v/c in Libra is not one of the 4 void off course “good signs” Relationship issues may not go as planned, leave the planning until after the V.O.C moon…
  • Opportunity Period: None.

 What does it all mean?

  • Libra has a need for balance, indicating this moon period may be an ideal time to implement some into our daily lives.
  • A desire for justice may be present, dealing with issues that have upset our sense of justice may prove to be productive.
  • Diplomacy is likely to be more apparent during the next few days, and may be a good time to bring up that topic you have been putting on the back burner.
  • Hesitation is probably going to raise its head, we may see many sides of a story and find it difficult to make up our minds.
  • Difficulty in making commitments or long-term decisions, because we can’t make up our minds. If this is the case perhaps wait a few days until the move has moved out of Libra.
  • Libra is happiest when in a relationship or partnership. Indicating this may be a good time to begin one. 🙂
  • Co-operation should be in the air, making this an ideal time to make plans with others.
  • May be a good time to improve our appearance and surroundings.
  • May be great time to go bargain hunting,
  • The Moon in Libra can be good for the following activities:
  • Beauty Treatments:
  • Buying Clothes:
  • Buying for speculation:
  • Collecting on debts:
  • Entertaining Guests:
  • Joining a club:
  • This moon sign will affect us all but will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. Along with those who have strong Aries chart influences.
      • **Moon in Libra,
      • **Sun in Libra,
      • **Venus in Libra
      • **Moon in 7th house,
      • **Any aspects to the Moon or Venus
      • **Midheaven in Libra
      • **Ascendant in Libra

  •  NOTES:
  •
    • Venus, the planet of money and beauty, (She rules Libra and Taurus) moves into the sign of Aquarius, the sign of inventions, friends and the rebel in the zodiac… On February 1 @ 9:05 am (ET) @ 6:05 (PT)… Venus in Aquarius means we may take on a friendly outlook or association when it comes to our relationships. Aquarius can appear to be emotionally distant at times, don’t take this the wrong way, they do care, just not the way one might expect it. Making new friends is easier under this influence, and new love relationships may pop up in the most extraordinary ways… Because Venus is connected to money, depending on which house this transiting Venus in Aquarius touches in your chart is likely to be the place you will be spending or saving most of your money and how you connect with people and handle relationships/partnerships
    • Imbolc occurs on February 2nd: We wish all who celebrate a save and happy Imbolc: This is a Pagan/Wiccan celebration (Rite) that occurs each year: Please check out our link for some fabulous information on who to celebrate Imbolc, from Patti Wigington: https://serenitysgiftcove.com/2017/01/28/from-our-inbox-to-you-from-patti-wigington-on-imbolc-rituals-ceremonies/
    • February 2nd is “Groundhog Day” in North America… will we have an early spring? only the groundhog knows… 😉 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day

Influences previously, and still in affect.

  • January 6th Mars moved into the earth sign of Taurus. Mars is the ruler of Aries, and is said to be the “warrior” of the zodiac… Mars will remain in Taurus until early March.
  • Taurus is the sign of the zodiac that can be the most patient and at times rather stubborn… 🙂
  • Ruled by Venus the opposite sign to Mars, Taurus is concerned with finances and material security…
  • When Mars visits with Taurus, our tempers can be slower to come to a boiling point, (this is a good thing at all times, but especially during these times of COVID) For some of us our emotional reactions are slower…
  • Our energy level may be amped up during this influence, if you are lucky enough to feel this energy, it’s the perfect time to get things done…
  • Be careful when it comes to driving, or walking for that matter (in the northern hemisphere we are experiencing winter, which can = icy roads and sidewalks…
  • **We can be braver when Mars visits any sign, as he is the “hero” of the zodiac, and ready to take on what ever it is that he needs to take on, either to get ahead or to protect loved ones…**
  • Open cupboard doors, sharp knives and scissors can be dangerous… (accidents waiting to happen)
  • Headaches and throat affections may also be about… take care of your health… 🙂
  • Mars in Taurus will have a slight affect on all of us, however, folks with the following chart influences will feel the affects more:
  • Mars in Taurus
  • Any Planets, signs or aspects in the 2nd or 1st house
  • Sun in Taurus
  • Moon in Taurus
  • Ascendant or Midheaven in Taurus.
  • And those who have any Scorpio chart influences.

***(SGC Admin: Personal observation 🙂 with a Taurus Moon, I am usually slow to anger and therefor slower to react or act, however, Mars in my moon sign, pushes me, prompts me and allows me to be braver) 🙂 ***

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon: These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

The new moon will increase the influences listed above. Traditionally the New Moon is said to be the best time to begin any new projects, relationships or jobs… However, Mercury, the planet of communication, transportation and technology went into retrograde motion on the 13th… Soooo, beginning something new right now might not go exactly as planned… And, because Libra, who is ruled by Venus is all about relationships… beginning a new relationship now, may present some unique challenges and might not last for the long haul..then again it might… 😉 keep your wits about you and do your research if you beginning anything new during this NEW MOON…
