Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

  • Date: June 23 @ 8:33 am (ET) @ 5:33 am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Leo
  • Moon Phase: 1st
  • Void-off-Course: June 23 @ 10:34 pm (PT) June 24 @ 1:34 am (ET): *Leo Moon* v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: None

What does it all mean?

  • The Leo Moon Loves Drama, so be warned…
  • The Leo Moon loves to be noticed and recognized, so be prepared to “pump up” your loved ones and if you happened to have a Leo influence in yourself, be aware of how you may be going about getting recognized or appreciated… If you play your cards right this could be a positive time when you get to be where you need to be.
  • Try not to be overly “vain” and be prepared for drama at any-time from any direction
  • Try not to over react and if it’s not you doing the over reacting, try not to get caught up in the drama, or to encourage the over reactor
  • It’s a good time to check out the local talent, take in a down town show, get starry-eyed with your lover, or perhaps look for a new one, as romance is high on the priority ladder during this time.
  • Might prove positive for hair cuts, make overs.
  • This moon period will affect everyone, but more so those who have the following in their charts:

    • Moon in Leo:
    • Sun in Leo:
    • Moon in Aquarius
    • Sun in Aquarius
    • Moon in the 5th house
    • Aspects to the moon or the Sun
  •  Those who have a strong Aquarius placement in their charts may also feel this moon’s influence more than others.

Notes:

Venus turns direct on June 24 @ 11:48 pm (PT) on June 25 @ 2:48 am (ET): Venus is the planet of love, beauty and money, she rules the signs Venus and Libra: New that she has gone direct again, life areas relating to relationships and money should begin to move along more smoothly… go slowly though, as it will take Venus a little while to feel comfortable moving forward again.

The Moon and Astrology

How it affects our daily lives…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon is not fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

The Full Moon is in Leo on February 8 @ 11:33pm (PT) and February 9 @ 2:33 am (ET) . when the moon reaches her fullness phase, it is said to be the best time to finish up projects and ideas already begun. It is a time of completion… Depending on which house it falls in in your chart will determine which area of life is coming to fruition.

  • We can start things now, but they may take longer to come to fruition and/or they may not come out anywhere near what we had been hoping.
  • However, life doesn’t always allow us to work with the phases of the moon, so if you have to start something under this full moon, take extra care when dealing with legal matters relating to said project and be especially clear in your communications. Mercury the planet of communications is sitting in the sign of Pisces right now, so be careful what you believe..
  • If you aren’t on the same page now with those involved in your new project expect delays and possible misunderstandings leading to upsets.
  • Be sure to take into consideration any negative effects of the moon in Leo as they will be much stronger when the moon is full.

What does it all mean?

  • The Leo Moon Loves Drama, so be warned…
  • The Leo Moon loves to noticed and recognized, so be prepared to “pump up” your loved ones and if you happened to have a Leo influence in yourself, be aware of how you may be going about getting recognized or appreciated… If you play your cards right this could be a positive time when you get to be where you need to be.

  • Might prove positive for hair cuts, make overs.
  • The moon in the 10th house may make us more aware of our work, vocation or passion, be prepared to put your back into it, however, keep any drama or bossiness to a minimum if you want to get noticed in the work place in a positive way.
  • This moon period will affect everyone, but more so those who have the following in their charts:
    • Moon in Leo:
    • Sun in Leo:
    • Moon in the 5th house:
    • Aspects to the moon
    • Moon in Aquarius.

The Moon & Astrology; how it affects our daily life: Transiting NEW Moon In Leo (2) July 2017

Present Moon Sign/Phase/House:

  • Date:  July 23 4:34 am (ET) 1:34 am (PT) 2017
  • Moon Sign: Leo
  • Moon Phase: 4th Moves into the 1st on July 24
  • Void-off-Course: July 25 @ 5:22 am(ET)2 :22 am (PT) to Virgo Moon a few hours later: *Leo Moon* v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs”
  • House(s): 11th house of hobbies, friends, groups and teamwork. (Equal house system)
  • Opportunity Period: July 24 10:55 am (ET) 7:55 am (PT) to V/C on July 25th: Do what you can to make use of this time period… :) May be more helpful towards Leo types.

  • In the 11th house: This is a time to find that new group or join that sports team you have been thinking of doing… It’s spring after all and for those of us in the cooler climates it’s a perfect time to re-connect with like-minded folks. Finding workable solutions to challenging situations may be easier to do under this influence, as we are more inclined to work together as opposed to trying to do everything on our own. It’s also a time, when we are happy to do some good within our communities.
  • This may be a positive time for: Beauty treatments: Borrowing money: Buying a home: Entertaining Guests: Fixing Cars: Hair Cut (For thickness): Moving: Mowing the Law (to retard growth): Painting: Pouring Cement: Starting new construction: Starting a new job:
  • This moon period will affect everyone, but more so those who have the following in their charts:

    • Moon in Leo:
    • Sun in Leo:
    • Moon in Aquarius
    • Sun in Aquarius
    • Moon in the 11th house
    • Moon in the 5th house
    • Aspects to the moon or the Sun
  •  Those who have a strong Aquarius placement in their charts may also feel this moon’s influence more than others.

The new moon occurs in Leo at 0/44 on Sunday July 23: Traditionally, it is thought, that when the moon renews herself, it is also a good time for us to renew, or begin…This month, when the moon becomes new on Sunday , she will be still be sitting in the 4th quarter…  she will move into the 1st quarter on Monday. making Monday the better day to begin our projects. The new moon can be a positive and uplifting time, and when she is in a fire sign like Leo, it can also be a good time to get involved in more active, fun and somewhat “risky” ;) endeavors.
