  • Date: August 9 @ 9:28 pm (ET) 6:28 pm (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Taurus:
  • Moon Phase: 3rd
  • Void-of-Course: August 12 @ 3:55 am (ET) @ 12:55 am (PT) to moon into Gemini a few hours later. Moon in Taurus v/c is one of the 4 “good signs”
  • Opportunity Period: August 11 @ 12:45 pm (ET) 9:45 am (PT) to moon into Gemini. The moon moves into the last quarter on this day also, making this opportunity time perfect for finishing up our projects.

What does it all mean?

  • Taurus needs emotional and material security, so we may find we are more interested in our financial affairs.
  • This may prove to be a good time to make investments for the future or to begin plans for the next financially responsible phase.
  • Taurus has lots of patience, indicating this could be a good time to deal with people/projects/situations that take up more time than is liked.
  • Things that give us pleasure, such as comfort foods, wine, relaxing, good music and giving/receiving “loving’s” are all things we may enjoy right now
  • Some of us may be feeling more frugal than usual, preferring to save our funds instead of spend them.
  • Take your time when the moon is in this sign, there is no need to hurry, and you probably won’t get very far if you do… so sit back and enjoy the ride… :)
  •  Keep your temper under check if you can, Taurus is very, very patient and it takes a lot to make her angry, but watch out once she has had enough, she will certainly let you know..
  • The Moon in Taurus may be good for the following:
  • Beauty Treatments, (better if the moon is in the 1st or 2nd quarter):
  • Buying Clothes (better if the moon is in the 1st or 2nd quarter):
  • Advertise to sell personal possessions:
  • Buying a home (better if the moon is in the 1st quarter):

  • Start a savings account (better if the moon is in the 1st or 2nd quarter):
  • Start training a pet (better if the moon is in the 1st quarter).

    • Sun in Taurus,
    • Venus in Taurus

&

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

Opportunity Periods  (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

  • Date(s): July 26 @ 9:12 pm (PT) July 27 @ 12:12 am (PT)
  • Moon Sign: Scorpio
  • Moon Phase: 1st moves into the 2nd on July 28th
  • Void-of-Course: July 28 @ 9:01 pm (PT) July 29 @ 12:01 am (ET) to Moon in Sagittarius on the 29th: Scorpio is NOT one of the “good” v/c signs.
  • Opportunity Period: July 27 @ 6:04 pm (ET) @ 3:04 pm (PT) to moon void of course on the 28/29th. Even though this O/P time begins at 6:04 pm (ET) and @ 3:04 pm (PT) it is suggested we wait another 2 hours before beginning or continuing with our project, passion or fun time.

What does it all mean?

  • Scorpio is very intense and probably the most sensitive of the zodiac signs. She is ruled by Pluto now, but was once considered to be ruled by Mars… she likely retains some of the Martian influence.
  • The moon relates to our emotions, indicating we could be feeling everything more deeply for the next couple of days
  • We can immerse ourselves in our projects now.
  • Watch for becoming obsessed with someone or something…. not everyone falls for someone at the same time and patience may be needed regarding sensitive relationship matters
  • Be sure that your partner, friend, lover, co-worker or school friend is really trying to upset your personal apple cart before making waves
  • We could be encouraged or directed towards taking risks or doing things we wouldn’t normally do, especially those of a group or team nature.
  • Sex may be high on the agenda for some of us… so if you don’t want to help the world population grow right now use caution… :)
  • Some of us may be highly creative right now, while others get connected to their psychic side…
  • Secrets may be told now… we can be enticed to open up to others about our deepest feelings/fantasy’s… Keep in mind that Mercury the planet of communication is in Virgo, so take care with whom you share your deepest, darkest secrets…
  • Moon in Scorpio is good for advertising to sell personal possessions, move, plant bulbs from seed {perhaps not yet for us northern folks ;)}
  • While we will all be effected slightly by the Scorpio moon, she will have a greater effect on those who have the following in their charts..

    • Moon in Scorpio
    • Sun in Scorpio
    • Ascendant in Scorpio
    • Mid-heaven in Scorpio
    • Aspects to the Moon or Pluto
    • Ascendant or Mid-heaven in Scorpio
