Let out your inner drummer! Entice your spirit, raise your vibration and let the drums take you on a creative, energizing, music making journey that is never the same twice. You don’t have to know how to drum to be part of this circle. We embrace the natural flow of free form drumming.There’s no right or wrong way to drum and no pressure to perform. Just let go and drum! Some extra drums available to try. Please  reserve. Rhythm instruments, shakers and rattle sticks are welcome too.

Mother’s Day Ebook: Metroland Media wants to hear your stories about your mom

Metroland Media Group’s Durham Region Division is gearing up to produce a special Mother’s Day e-book, and they want their Durham Region readers to be the contributing authors… 

Send in your personal “mom” stories and recollections, be they funny, thoughtful, moving, loving or all of the above … 

This special e-book will be available for downloading at durhamregion.com and a selection of entries will appear in the newspaper near Mother’s Day in May. 

  • Stories must be 350 words or less
  • Email to: jbobbitt@durhamregion.com with “Mothers Day” in the subject line
  • Please copy and paste your story into the body of your email, please do not send attachments, thank you. 
  • Please include your name, community of residence and daytime phone number. 

The entry deadline is March 21 2013.

Devin Cuddy is one of the offspring of our very own Jim Cuddy and his lovely wife Rena… and it’s plain to see that the Cuddy talent flows through the DNA, Devon has his own unique musical style and sure seems to be a natural add in his great band members and you are sure to enjoy an evening with these guys…… Please view the following dates from Devon Cuddy that the band will playing for December 2012 below…

Just wanted to let you know about a few new exciting things. 
 
The Devin Cuddy  Band will be playing to front room of The Cameron House in Toronto from 10pm till late this Wednesday December 12th, as well as next Wednesday December 19th. 
Please come out and celebrate the holidays with us. 
 
Also, we have just recorded a video with Southern Souls that features a couple of songs from my new record.

This is sure going to be a fun-filled evening.. Don’t be shy come on out and connect with others, get ideas and be motivated to be the best you can be…

Come and discover the “Diva” in you and create a beautiful scarf for yourself or a loved one for the winter. These scarves are made out of all different fabrics – wool, ribbon, buttons, recycled earrings(1 of) and whatever can be attached that would not be too heavy. Bring what you might want to add, of the above mentioned items, that you might want to incorporate into your own scarf. . I will be bringing extra supplies so don’t worry if you don’t have enough “stuff” at home. (Please bring an extra $5.00 – however please don’t let this limit you to making one.) These scarves are about 5 feet long because they have to wrap around your neck. The possibilities to create are endless!
