It is rare to see yellow lemons in the grocery store so when I finally saw some after 4 years of living without my warm lemon tea with ginger, I was ecstatic! I bought 6 yellow lemons. As soon as I got home, I put on a kettle, got my favourite tea cup and sliced that beautiful yellow lemon. I placed some grated ginger in the cup, poured my hot water and squeezed both lemon halves into the cup.With my eyes closed, I raised the cup to my lips and sipped.WHAT THE HECK?
It tasted like honey water. The mixture was sweet. I could not believe it.With a frown of disappointment, I placed the cut lemon to my lips and sure enough it was sweet.The next day I marched to the grocery store with 5 lemons in hand. I asked the clerk, are these lemons?Si,limón dulce he replied ( which means sweet lemon)Well, I never knew these existed! That was the first and last time I bought sweet lemons.By the way, I have yet to drink my warm lemon tea with ginger.Up next: the fruit you thought was a nut!

  • Void-of-Course: February 26 @ 5:04pm (ET) @2:04pm (PT) to moon into Pisces early morning of the 27th.  Aquarius Moon v/c is not one of the 4 “good signs” Try not to make any important decisions or commitments now.
  • Opportunity Period: February 24 @3:41 am(ET) @12:41 am(PT) to moon void of course. “This is a great opportunity to wrap up ongoing projects and accomplish goals during the last quarter moon” PB

What does it all mean?

  • Aquarius is ahead of his time, he is capable of thinking and “seeing” things in a different way then the rest of us. This makes the Aquarius moon phase an inventive one. 
  • Aquarius is ruled by Uranus,  the planet of  shock and chaos. And like Uranus, Aquarius folks can surprise us sometimes, they can be rebellious and “cranky” or open minded and extremely helpful. 
  • We may feel more inclined towards kindness, especially on a “global” level, towards animals, the elderly and those worse off than us. Aquarius has a distinctly humanitarian streak. 
  • The time may be right to understand/learn about new technology.
  • We may be feeling more rebellious than usual, prompting us to try new things and/or meet new people. 
  • Be careful not to break tradition just because one feels like being different. Teenagers may feel the need to express themselves, so parents be for-warned. 
  • Personal freedom and individuality is very important now. Partner’s try not to restrict each other’s movements. Parent’s, it might be a tight line you walk now. Employer’s give your “worker’s” a little “slack”. 
  • Being organized might not go as planned, so expect weird schedule’s and interrupted meetings… 
  • Changes may be in the air…if you are o.k. with change, or you absolutely have to make changes, now could be an excellent time to go ahead with your plans.
  • The next few days may be positive for the following: Joining a club, borrowing money, fixing cars, hair care (colors and chemical treatments), moving, painting, pouring cement, starting a new job or new construction. 
  • When the moon is in Aquarius she will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts. along with those with strong Leo placements in their charts.

  • Uranus in Aquarius
  • Moon in the  11th house
  • Moon in Leo (to a lessor extent)
  • Ascendant or Mid-heaven in Aquarius

Sunday February 23rd:

Mars goes direct @9:00 pm (ET) @6:00 pm (PT).  When any planet changes direction, it can cause upset… and with Mars being Mr. Aggressive of the planet world, our patience might not be as solid as usual… Mars going direct will clear our minds, and help us to move ahead or make decisions… take care though, as some of us could be tempted to rush into things, or make rash choices, later regretted.

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES… 

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :) 

The Moon Void-of-Course: 

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course, during these times, we may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon… 

  • Cancer
  • Taurus
  • Sagittarius
  • Pisces…

There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.

Travel opens your eyes….. we travel, we grow…

Like many folks we enjoy going on vacation… truthfully, in our family, it is hubby who is the better traveller… I put that down to his Aries Moon, (action, movement, needing stimuli) and my Taurus moon, (stability, comfort, difficulty in accepting change). Despite our differences, I am grateful that hubby has that itch to travel… :)

Travel is stressful, and these days, flying seems to be a test for our blood pressure and ability to keep our opinions to ourselves… Facial recognition is now in full use, along with printing ones own boarding pass and checking in ones bags… Soon, it would seem that most human jobs at airports will be replaced with machines… Technology is good, but I am not so sure about taking away all of the human aspects… after all, humans are meant to interact with one another.       However, stress of flying aside, we can learn about how we view our lives when we expose ourselves to how others are living theirs.

While in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, staying in an Air B and B… we lived as we would at home, going to the grocery store, (Walmart) etc, walking the streets, and watching the people… Folks would put used clothing and other items out in the late afternoon, beside a garbage can, a little while later, others would find the items and take them away with them, eliminating them from going to the dump, and enabling someone who needed the items to use them. And while life ha it’s many challenges for the locals, for the most part people went about the day in a happy frame of mind…

And most recently, while on an 11 day cruise, (one delayed by C19 mandates, and which was a long time coming, to celebrate 3 mile stones)… we were once again reminded of our blessings… Sure, we have challenges, and like so many out there, the last 3 years have been very trying…. however, when we listened to the stories of the staff upon the ship, it became apparent, once again, that God really does only burden one with what we can handle… Spending 9 months away from family, cleaning up after strangers over and over again, all the while smiling, being patient and so polite… takes a certain kind of courage and entails family sacrifice…

We are grateful to have been able to travel, so we can grow as humans, and we hope and pray that it will be God’s Will that we will be able to continue to do so…

  • New Moon in Aquarius, 3:53 pm (ET) 12:53 pm (PT). When the moon is new, it is said to be a good time to begin new projects, jobs, relationships, anything that we have not had the pleasure of experiencing before. Because the new moon is in the sign of Aquarius this month, technology, transportation, humanitarian and creative projects may be on the agenda. We can bring new energy into our lives during a new moon. Do a New Moon meditation or write a list of the things, people, places and situations you would like to bring into your life this month, read it, believe it and then burn it and leave it all up to the Universe. 😊
