Maighread MacKay is an author and visual artist from the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. She is a member of the Writer’s Community of Durham Region (WCDR), and the PRAC (Pine Ridge Arts Council).
Her publishing credits include three books for children: Bedtime Treasures, The Mysterious Door and the Crystal Grove written under the name of Margaret L. Hefferman. Her novel Stone Cottage is her first foray into adult literature. She has also published articles for a variety of magazines, including most recently, the Durham Region online magazine – More 2 Life 4 Women and the WCDR publication Word Weaver.

How does the “Consignment” part work?
You sendus your information and photos, we put them on SGC2 and promote them for you via our SGC’s Twitter, Face Book, Pintrest and Linkdin media accounts… We may also add them to our monthly newsletter :) …. Our paper newsletter will not include photo’s however, but will include a detailed description (well, as detailed as space permits) ;)….
We offer you the option of allowing your customers to purchase your products using our pay pal account… we would then forward you the funds (minus any “commission”) … Please keep in mind that if you opt for this option Pal Pay takes a small percentage from the payment.
If you don’t want to use the Pal Pay option… You can…
Set up a pay pal account for yourself (if you don’t already have one) and send out your own invoice for payment (Pay Pal takes a small percentage)
Arrange to meet with your customer, they can pay you in cash and you can hand over the product
Arrange for payment via money order, cash (drop off, or secured mail) or cash deposit
Arrange for payment in any other way you prefer
How do the products get to your customers?
It is your responsibility to get your product to your customer as we won’t have the physical item.. you choose the delivery method, Canada Post, UPS, pick up, delivery etc… :)
Customers will contact you directly from the contact information you provide…
Or we are happy to be a go-between for you and your customer… they can email us and we will forward to you… :)
What can you share with us?
“Consignment” products need to home/hand made, hopefully using mostly Canadian/US (North American) components. We understand that sourcing North American components can be a bit of a challenge, so don’t panic if you can’t.. Please keep in mind this a “family friendly” website :)… Any product that is environmentally friendly or encourages kindness to, and respect of, mother earth is also welcomed. Products that invoke happiness, kindness and fun are eagerly accepted. :)
How much will this cost you, why is there a fee, and how does it work?
Our affordable “fee” or consignment percentage will be mutually agreed upon by us and you at the time of “sign up”. We strive to be fair to everyone… (us included) :).. it takes us time to post your products and we do so with care and positive intention & we hope you understand our reasoning :)

Creative Expressions Colouring and Art Therapy Circle
It doesn’t matter how old you are, admit it! Colouring is FUN! And very therapeutic too. Express yourself through personal artistic creations, from simple to complex. All you need to do is to be able to hold a coloured pencil or marker, pick a colouring sheet that speaks to you and let your creativity flow through your chosen imagery, pattern and colour. From mandalas to nature scenes, enchanted forest designs to inspirational lettering and much more, you can let it all out onto your chosen design sheets and create personal masterpieces to use as meditation tools, journaling exercises or decorative, inspirational artwork to decorate your space with.
If you like to paint, feel free to bring canvas or art-paper books and your own paints, or bring a pencils and sketchbook if you prefer to draw. Some weeks we will choose a theme, other weeks we will freestyle!
Refreshments will be served. First and third Monday each month, 6:00 – 7:00 pm starting in April depending on interest. Fee: $10 per session. Colouring supplies and sheets included.

Now that spring has officially sprung, it’s time to clear out the clutter and make way for a brand new season of growth. Here are 10 Feng Shui tips designed to bring renewed energy into your life — just look up the area you want to improve most!
Love and romance: Clear out the space beneath your bed If you’d like a happier, healthier love life, look under the bed. Relocate any items you use regularly, then discard or donate the rest. By keeping the space beneath your bed totally clear, you’ll resolve any deceptions, hidden resentments, and childhood traumas that have affected your romantic relationships.
Communication: Erase old messages Do you feel misunderstood or unappreciated? Then get rid of old emails, texts and voicemails. Letting messages accumulate can make it difficult to get your wants and needs across. If you want to hang on to messages forsentimental reasons, print them out or record them onto a CD or flash drive.
