I love this author, not only for her stories but also for her approachability.
She personally answers questions on Facebook, through e-mails etc.
For her e-books, she will even e-mail versions for a different platform.  I’ve purchased a couple of her e-books from Amazon (which is Kindle) and she has e-mailed me Adobe files so I can read it on my Kobo.
She’s also Canadian, which is a bonus. :)

Book Description (from Amazon.ca)

Publication Date: Jan. 15 2013
A Fantasy Lover’s Food Guide Equal parts writer’s guide, comedy, and historical cookbook, fantasy author Krista D. Ball takes readers on a journey into the depths of epic fantasy’s obsession with rabbit stew and teaches them how to catch the blasted creatures, how to move armies across enemy territories without anyone starving to death, and what a medieval pantry should look like when your heroine is seducing the hero. Learn how long to cook a salted cow tongue, how best to serve salt fish, what a “brewis” is (hint: it isn’t beer), how an airship captain would make breakfast, how to preserve just about anything, and why those dairy maids all have ample hips. What Kings Ate will give writers of historical and fantastical genres the tools to create new conflicts in their stories, as well as add authenticity to their worlds, all the while giving food history lovers a taste of the past with original recipes and historical notes.
Visit Amazon.ca to purchase this book in e form or in paper back… :)

Full Moon in Virgo March 16 2014:

Traditionally it is said that as the moon grows into her fullest form, it is the best time for us to finish up projects… It’s not the best time to begin a project as you may be presented with more challenges than usual indicting that project may get put on the shelf for a while. Our confidence may also be “shaken” as we try our hardest to get something new off of the ground only to find delays surfacing we hadn’t anticipated.

When the full moon falls in the sign of Virgo, we are most likely to focus on fixing and fussing and our health…. we may be more apt to see the little details we would normally miss… which could make this an ideal time to view detailed written work or contracts.. although as the full moon represents the closing or ending of things it may not be the best time to sign on the dotted line regarding new projects or commitments…. Cleaning up the house, garage, office or car are excellent activities for this full moon… And if the weather cooperates this can also be a good time to get outside and go for a long walk or run… feeling healthy or taking care of our health can also be prompted with this full moon…

The effects of this full moon will be felt the strongest by those who have the following: Virgo Moon: Virgo Sun: Moon in the 6th house: Sun in the 6th house: Aspects and transits to the moon.

** Please Note*** The moon went void off course at the same time it became full… it then moved into the sign of Libra at 8:46 pm… thanks to Hocuspocus13 for catching that… :)

Full Moon February 14 2014: Moon Void off Course:

Full Moon in Leo February 14 2014 6:53 pm

Two cats in love, sitting on a rooftop under a full moonTraditionally it is said that as the moon grows into her fullest form, it is the best time for us to finish up projects… It’s not the best time to begin a project as you may be presented with more challenges than usual indicting that project may get put on the shelf for a while. Our confidence may also be “shaken” as we try our hardest to get something new off of the ground only to find delays surfacing we hadn’t anticipated.

Leo is ruled by the sun, and when the moon visit’s him there can be slightly more drama involved then usual. It’s a time when peeps want to be noticed and recognized for a job well done or achievements accomplished, or just because they are looking especially glamorous… :) It’s a great time to take in a show or go to the theatre and if you happen to be working amongst the “arts” this could be your time to shine, (and everyone else’s) … And while this is a mostly positive time and can help those of us who are usually shy or introverted step out of our zone for a few hours, it can also “encourage” us to go over board and perhaps over react to things we may normal not notice… So go ahead and have a good time during this full moon but take care to avoid being overly bossy or dramatic as it might not end up having the effect you wanted…

This full moon will especially affect those with the following in their natal chart: Other’s may also be affected by this Leo Full Moon who have the following progressed and transit chart information.

Moon in Leo: Sun in Leo: Moon in the 5th house: Mercury in Leo: Aspects from natal to progressed charts.

Moon Void Off Course: As the moon moves through the zodiac signs each month there are times when she isn’t visiting with any of the signs. This is a Moon Void off Course… When this happens it is best not to make important decisions, start projects and or sign important papers as we may not be as sure of ourselves as we should be, or we may be impulsive in our decision-making only to “regret” it later… :(

There are times when a Void Off Course Moon can be advantageous. For this month however it is not so. However there is a window of opportunity from 6:53 pm to 9:05 pm and will bode well for projects begun before January 31 2014:

Meditation and Healing with Pamela Scott of Giraffe Techniques

SGC Admin: Life is stressful, it can be trying and tiring, we run around in circles trying to get everything done, we try to please everyone, and in the midst of it all we forget about us. This can’t happen, if it does all those “important” things we feel have to get done will at some point fall by the way side when we get sick and overly tired, because at some point our body and perhaps our mind will shut us down…

However, there is a way of preventing ourselves from getting to the fall down point… Pamela Scott of Giraffe Techniques is a Therapeutic Touch Practitioner, a Natural/Spiritual Healer, and Hawaiian Reiki Master. In short Pamela is a healer and her passion is in helping others reach that point of peace within, in this way she can assist us in helping ourselves be the best we can be..

Pamela also receives message’s from spirit and is embarking upon a new way of helping us through distance “healing” … While she meditates and connects with spirit in her effort to guide her client, spirit can come through with messages for the client..

Pamela is sweet and kind and understanding… If you think she may be able to guide you and assist you, especially if you are worried, uptight or feeling out of sorts connect with Pamela, she may be just what “the doctor ordered” .. :)
