The New Moon is about beginnings and starts … it’s the time to look forward and put new ideas and projects into motion.

The Moon in Gemini is a fun and fickle moon, these next few days may have you feeling the need to write, email and communicate with others. Multi tasking is also likely, but watch that you don’t become too scatter brained as you attempt to do more than usual. Short trips to the city, or visits with old friends may be in order perhaps with a business idea in mind… Siblings may also be in focus. Watch the purse strings, if you are shopping you are likely to enjoy buying more than one of the same thing…

When the moon is void off course we can be unsure as to how we are really feeling about something or something, it’s therefore advisable to stick to routine tasks at this time. If any legal documents or long-term commitments are in the picture take care to make sure you understand everything that is involved before signing… Delaying important decisions and commitments is highly recommended when the moon is void off course… (The moon is not void off course at the time of this new moon)

A solar eclipse can have an influence on us making things, plans, issues and or situations that happen during an eclipse last longer than usual. Sometime’s it’s unavoidable and plans have to be made, ideas need to be put into motion and there are some people we just can’t get away from or do without…. In these cases patience is strongly advised.  (Solar Eclipse was in the previous month of April)

Those most influenced by this month’s New Moon are those who have the following:

Moon in Gemini: Mercury in Gemini: Sun in Gemini: Any Planets in the 3rd house. For those who have oppositions or square aspects to the moon, these may prove to be challenging times. For those who have trines or sextiles, these may prove to be opportune times.

We’re now into the merry month of May, which means that handfasting season is upon us. Many people in the Pagan community opt to have a handfasting instead of the “traditional wedding” that our non-Pagan friends have. In some cases, it may be simply ceremonial — a couple declaring their love for one another without the benefit of a state license. For other couples, it can be tied in with a state marriage certification issued by a legally authorized party such as a clergyperson or justice of the peace. Either way, the handfasting is becoming more and more popular, as Pagan couples are seeing that there is indeed an alternative for non-Christians who want more than just a courthouse wedding. Today we’ll look at some of the things to keep in mind when you’re planning a handfasting, as well as tips to help make it a magical and successful day!

Handfasting History:

An Old Tradition Made New

In centuries gone by, handfasting was a popular custom in the British Isles. In rural areas, it could be weeks or even months before a clergyman happened to stop by your village, so couples learned to make allowances. A handfasting was the equivalent of today’s common-law marriage — a man and woman simply clasped hands and declared themselves married.

Handfasting History Spring is here, and love is in the air! For many people of Pagan faiths, this is the time of year for a handfasting ceremony. If you’re lucky enough to have someone you love this much, there are a few things you may want to keep in mind while planning your handfasting ceremony.

Handfasting Tips Sample Handfasting Ceremony If you’re planning on having a handfasting ceremony rather than a traditional wedding, you may want to work with your Pagan clergyperson on the writing of the vows. This is a sample ceremony that you can make adjustments to based upon your needs and your spiritual tradition.

It’s become traditional to give each of your guests a small wedding favor. Typically, these are small trinkets with either the date of the event or the couples’ names on them. However, if you’re having a Pagan or Wiccan handfasting, rather than a traditional wedding ceremony, why not come up with an idea that celebrates your spiritual path, as well as announcing your commitment to the community? Sun sign in Gemini:

Gemini is one of the dual signs of the zodiac, multi faceted, multi task orientated, and sometimes close friends and relatives would say multi person…. :)

Gemini is an air sign, ruled by the planet of communication Mercury, it’s easy to understand why some Gemini’s either have the gift of the gab or are at the very least chatty.

It’s not unusual to find a Gemini doing more than one thing at once, having two-part time jobs or signing up for all kinds of things.. The reason is because they have to keep busy, oh, don’t get me wrong they do have their lazy days, but for the most part they need to have plans, be making plans or doing something….

And while their airy nature allows them to be easy-going and flexible for most of the time, don’t be surprised when they tell you no, when they don’t want to do something they won’t it’s that simple. :)

Thanks for your enjoyment of life Gemini, for your ability to get lots done in a little bit of time and your ability to move along with the flow of life… :)
