Event: Opportunity Period (thanks to Jim Shawvan for figuring out the Periods)
Date(s): September 28 2014
Time(s): 10:53 am (ET) 7:52 am (PT)
Moon sign: Scorpio. .
Other Planet(s) Involved: Saturn
Void off Course: Yes. V/C begins when OP ends.
What does it Mean?:
Jim Shawvan, astrologer, over a 30 year period, has developed the Opportunity Period’s system. He shares his findings in Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide.
“An Opportunity Period (OP) is a period in which the aspects of the transiting Moon to other transiting planets show no interference with the free flow of decision and action. (Jim Shawvan)
” Opportunity Periods apply to everyone in the world all at once; although, if the astrological influences on your own chart are putting blocks in your path, you may not be able to use every OP to the fullest. Nevertheless, you are always better off taking important actions and making crucial decisions during an Opportunity Period.” (Jim Shawvan)
When an OP appears it’s best to make the best of the time if possible.
Some OP times are very short and happen in the late hours of the night or early hours of the morning.
This OP is good for: Artistic work, meditation and helping others.
Entice your spirit, raise your vibration and make music with others. Join us for a fun evening of drumming, meditation, and music making. Some extra drums are available. Please reserve.
Date: September 26 2014:

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. :)
The Moon Void-off-Course:
There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void off Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void off Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-off-Course moon…
Good for Void-Off-Course Moon:
These v/c signs may prove to be quite productive times.
Cancer
Taurus
Sagittarius
Pisces…
Opportunity Periods (thanks to astrologer Jim Shawvan):
There are other periods throughout the month that are known as opportunity periods, when it can prove to be a positive time for most people, however if you have challenging aspects happening within your own chart you may not be able to make use of opportunity periods.
Thanks to Jim Shawvan present day astrologer, William Lilly 17th century astrologer and Llewellyn’s Daily Planetary Guide for opportunity periods.

The moon moves into the 12th house on September 24 at approx. 6:27 pm (ET) 3:27 pm (PT): The 12th house is the house of fantasy, illusion, how we “deal” with institutions (hospitals, schools, etc)
Opportunity Period: Yes: 5:31 am (ET) 2:31 am September 25 to 8:39 am (ET) 5:39 am (PT) September 26 2014
What does it all mean?
Libra has a need for balance, indicating this moon period may be an ideal time to implement some into our daily lives.
A desire for justice may be present, dealing with issues that have upset our sense of justice may prove to be productive.
Diplomacy is likely to be more apparent during the next few days, and may be a good time to bring up that topic you have been putting on the back burner.
Hesitation is probably going to raise its head, we may see many sides of a story and find it difficult to make up our minds.
Difficulty in making commitments or long-term decisions, because we can’t make up our minds. If this is the case perhaps wait a few days until the move has moved out of Libra.
Libra is happiest when in a relationship or partnership. Indicating this may be a good time to begin one. :) Just keep in mind that the moon is in the 12 house of dreams and fantasy’s Sept 24 to early hours of the 27th. We may see what we want to see instead of what is reality.
Co-operation should be in the air, making this an ideal time to make plans with others.
May be a good time to improve our appearance and surroundings.
May be great time to go bargain hunting,
While the moon is in the 12 house, we may feel more inclined to spend some time alone to reflect and review our life. We can be “deceived” and should be cautious of our perspective.
This moon sign will affect us all but will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.

Opportunity Period: None
What does it all mean?
Virgo is all about the details, so be prepared to see to them or at least have someone else see to them for you, you will feel better :)
Try not to worry about things you have no control over, especially things that might not ever happen… Because Virgo “see’s” all the details others miss, it’s hard for her not to worry…
It’s good to keep busy during a Virgo moon, make lists, tidy, organize, plan, find solutions to problems… a lot can get done now
Virgo can be more critical than the rest of the zodiac, but only because she so need things to be “correct” or “perfect”. Try to give yourself and other’s a break over the next couple of days. If you are an employer, be prepared that tasks may not get completed exactly they way you had expected.
Mercury, the planet of communications and mental abilities is also in Virgo. Virgo is very happy in Mercury as he is her ruler. With both the moon and mercury in Virgo, it might be a good time to attend to legal or business dealings.. A better understanding of health issues and better communication with your health care provider may be possible now.
This moon sign will have more of an effect on those who have the following in their charts.
