We’ve had a lot of fun this summer, transforming yards into rain gardens, railways into butterflyways and planting more than a dozen butterfly-friendly canoe gardens in schoolyards, churches and cafes across the city. But this month may be our busiest yet!

On Sunday, September 27, we invite you to join Toronto’s most joyous musical parade, the third annual Homegrown Park Crawl. The Park Crawl will once again feature great food, lively music and fun activities — plus a few surprises — as we crawl along the former path of the Garrison Creek.

Park Crawl food tickets sold out each year, so we encourage you to get yours online in advance. Tickets are now available online, and until September 17 you can get five tickets for $20.

To whet your appetite, this Friday, September 11, come check out Homegrown Pizza in the Park. It may be the last pizza night of the year, so be sure not to miss it. Pizzeria Libretto’s first slices will start coming out of the oven at 6 p.m.

Be sure to stay tuned for details about more events and plantings taking place this month by joining our Homegrown Facebook page.
