YES! LOBLAW PHASES OUT MICROBEADS, HARMFUL CHEMICALS TRICLOSAN, PHTHALATES

National retailer Loblaw announced plans to eliminate triclosan, phthalates and microbeads from its store brands. This is great news for consumers! Triclosan is a known hormone disruptor, phthalates have been linked to cancer, and microbeads are threatening our lakes and aquatic life.

However, more than voluntary industry action is needed. We also need clear labeling laws so Canadians can know what’s in the products they buy.
