SGC Admin: It’s been a long hard winter, more so for some of us then others. Take Nancy Hutchinson for example… Nancy is the owner of 1 Stop Alpaca Farm and this winter due to the ice storm, the barn where her Alpaca’s are cared for collapsed… :(
What to do, where to place the Alpaca’s to keep them safe and cared for..??? Nancy, was more than concerned about what to do… But she needn’t have worried as kind-hearted community folk came forward to the rescue… 5 local farms opened up spots for the Alpaca’s until a permanent solution is found… Nancy now divides her time between each one to care for and feed her Alpaca’s.
There is always a silver lining… and with the barn already needing to be replaced, Nancy wants to “pay it forward” :) by redesigning the barn so it can be utilized in a therapeutic way, directed towards assisting adults with special needs… Officials in the area have already approved the minor yariance for the site, so it’s now just a matter of getting the barn built… :) And to help with the expense A dinner/dance is being held at the end of the month.
