Sun moves into Capricorn, December 21 2012

December 21  2012 see’s the Winter Solstice and the sun moves into the sign of Capricorn.

Capricorn people are hard-working and can usually be relied upon to what is required of them as they are duty bound. The career can be the focus of the Capricorn person and they will work long hours to put their best foot forward or to climb the corporate ladder. That’s because their ruling planet Saturn is all about boundaries and restrictions. 

Capricorn people can be strong-willed and sometimes may be viewed as being uncaring or harsh towards those who appear to be less hard-working or who may display (in the mind of the Capricorn) foolish behaviour, or who repeatedly make irresponsible decisions. Yet Capricorn people will also go above and beyond to help those they believe warrant their help or expertise. 

Thanks to all the hard-working, sensible, duty bound Capricorn out there for keeping things running and on track….

The moon re-news herself on December 13 2012 at 3:42 am but she also becomes Void Off Course at the same time… As her last stop was in the sign of Sagittarius and her new stop will be in the sign of Capricorn at 4:43 pm on December 13 it is possible we will feel the effects of both of these “moon” signs. 

The Moon in Sagittarius may prompt us to go on small excursion or to pick up a new non fiction book, perhaps a book about travel? We may be more optimistic than usual and happy to start new things, in fact we may crave something new and exciting…Enjoy, have fun, learn and explore, just watch for over doing it… as Jupiter, Sagittarius’s ruler is all about expansion… 

The moon in Capricorn is practical and wants to get organized and maybe plan ahead… We may feel the need to do our duty, or be responsible, respecting our elders and those in authority may also feel important to us now… Just don’t allow yourself to feel too restricted during this time, you are allowed to have some down time too… :)

The influence of these two signs may actually end up giving us a nice balance between duty and restriction and expansion, learning and plain old fun… Play your cards right and your may end up with the best of both worlds… :) Making the next couple of days productive and enjoyable… :)

Full Moon November 28 2012:

Our lady sits in the sign of Taurus until November 27 at approx. 7:58 pm when she will move into the sign of Gemini.

She then goes void of course from 8:04 pm November 28 until she settles into the sign of Cancer on November 30.

Our lady becomes full at approx. 9:46 am on November 28 2012 while still in the sign of  Gemini. 

While our moon becomes full in the sign of Gemini she goes off course shortly after.  It’s likely you will feel the effects of  the Gemini Moon but you may also feel unsure where your emotions are concerned or find it difficult to make decisions while she if Void of Course. It’s not advisable to make decisions during a void of course moon, yet routine tasks are likely to run smoothly… it’s a good time to reflect on your progress (or lack of) since the last Full Moon…

There is also a Lunar Eclipse on November 28: This may indicate the effects of the full moon will be stronger .. as always with the Full Moon be on the look out for the “lunatics” :)

A fun and fickle moon, these next few days may find you feeling the need to write, email and communicate with others. Multi tasking is also likely, but watch that you don’t become too scatter brained as you attempt to do more than usual. If you can take some time off for a short trip it’s a great time to do so… Watch the purse strings, if you are shopping you are likely to enjoy buying more than one of the same thing…

While the Full Moon affects all of us on some level those who have one or more of the following will likely feel November’s full moon the most.

New Moon November 13 2012:

The New moon is a good time to start new projects to put forth new ideas.

You can also think of new things you would like to accomplish in the future and begin them on the new moon of your choosing. 

Things started during a new moon usually have a better outcome then those begun during any other phase of the moon. 

October’s New Moon Falls on November 13 2012 in the sign of Scorpio.

The New Moon for November will only spend the night in Scorpio and then she   settles into the sign of Sagittarius on November 14 for the next 3 days.

All emotional aspects are likely to be more intense than usual (even more so if you have Scorpio Sun or Moon). Heated discussions likely. Be cautious getting involved in commitments you aren’t sure about, even if it looks and sounds really good check it out first, Scorpio Moon is more than willing to assist. 

Sagittarius will want to have fun, laugh out loud and explore…. :) a great time to spend outdoors… or to start a new study, soak up knowledge or cram for an exam… And while you might want to experience everything all at once… you are advised to be aware of excess… :)

Whitby Residents: Allow the Plow…

Just a reminder folks, it’s that time of year again… Time to put the furnace on… put away the summer stuff, start the layering of clothing…. And… 

Allow the Plow..

From November 1 2012 to April 15 2013 there is a parking restriction in effect for the residents of Whitby. 

No parking is allowed on any road between the hours of 2:00 am to 6:00 am. 

This parking regulation is designed to keep Whitby’s streets clear of vehicles so that snow plow operators can clear away ice and snow quickly and safely during overnight hours when there is less traffic volume. 

In addition to this restriction  vehicles are not permitted to be parked on the road at any time while the Town’s snow plow operators are actively clearing ice and snow. Please be advised that vehicles may be ticketed at any time during snow clearing operations, not just when the plow is on the street. If a snow fall is forecast it’s a good idea to move your vehicles off the road.
