The full moon in Cancer brings us closer to family, we feel the need to nurture and take care of our loved ones. We can also become over dependant or needy, and our emotional self’s may be more sensitive than usual, take care not to make mountains out of mole hills, an innocent remark is just that, don’t see cruel intentions where there are none. 

The Full Moon is the perfect time to finish up your projects… and for the Cancer Full Moon, projects may be house/home/family related ones. 

The moon will go Void off Course at approximately 8:52 pm, her last aspect is an opposition to the Sun in Capricorn. Most times a void off course moon doesn’t bear well for decision-making, but this one may be on our side. We are in a time of opportunity from 4:03 am until the moon enters into the sign of Leo on Thursday at 5:00 am.

New Moon January 1 2014

Our lady starts anew this month in the sign of Capricorn… :) On New Years Day…

It’s a good new moon for a new year as her main concern is going to be with getting things organized. The Capricorn moon will want to get down to business, indicating this could be a good time to initiate new business ideas or plans… 

Watch out for feelings of “guilt” if you skip your duties, and try not to expect the best of everyone, we aren’t all duty bound or career orientated… :) Try to be accepting of the ideas or opinions of others for the next few days, holding grudges isn’t healthy… :) 

It’s a good idea to be aware of our emotional responses during a Capricorn new moon, as some of us may have a tendency to appear off-handed or emotionally distant toward loved ones… if left unchecked this could have a negative impact on close relationships. 

The new moon is traditionally a good time to begin new projects, put new ideas into practice or to put plans to paper. Not everyone will be ready or able to start things during a new moon, but if you can why not give it a try and see what happens.. :)

Capricorn people are hard-working and can usually be relied upon to what is required of them as they are duty bound. The career can be the focus of the Capricorn person and they will work long hours to put their best foot forward or to climb the corporate ladder. That’s because their ruling planet Saturn is all about boundaries and restrictions. 

Capricorn people can be strong-willed and sometimes may be viewed as being uncaring or harsh towards those who appear to be less hard-working or who may display (in the mind of the Capricorn) foolish behavior, or who repeatedly make irresponsible decisions. Yet Capricorn people will also go above and beyond to help those they believe warrant their help or expertise.

The Moon becomes full at 4:28 am but will be Void off Course until 1:17 pm when she settles in the sign of Cancer. 

The moon in Cancer is comfortable as she rules this Zodiac sign. We can be more emotional and sensitive during this time, so be wary of becoming needy or imagining slights that aren’t there. Home is where the heart is and when the moon is full in Cancer being “domestic” and doing things around the home, cooking for loved ones, cuddles and family are the sort of things we enjoy doing the most… :)
