Full Moon April 15 2014: Moon void off course: Lunar Eclipse

Our lady becomes full on April 15 2014 at approximately 3:42 am where she is resting in the sign of Libra… but she also becomes void off course at the same time until she settles in with the sign of Scorpio at approximately 12:20 pm. This means we may feel the effects of both the Libra moon and the Scorpio Moon…

While the moon is void off course it is strongly suggested we not start projects or sign important documents or commit ourselves to people, events or places as we may have to retract our “promise” later, redo our projects or not finish them at all… or we may “regret” what we have signed at a later date… It is a good time to meditate, ponder and assess where we are .. And it’s a fabulous time to attend to routine tasks….

When the moon is full or becoming full in the few days leading up to the full moon it is traditionally suggested this time is best used to finish up projects we have already begun… And while it is not the best time to begin new projects, relationships, jobs etc… it shouldn’t stop us from making plans for the future, just as long as we don’t try to implement them now…. For those of us who have no choice but to begin something new during a full moon, take heart, it if doesn’t work out, keep the lessons learned and apply them in the future…. :)

The Moon in Libra is all about relationships, partnerships and making things beautiful… sometimes we can experience unbalanced relationships where a delicate handling may be required… and because the full moon represents completion it is possible that romantic relationships and business partnerships or sports relationships can come to an end now, if this is the case dealings should run fairly smoothly as most people are apt to be more agreeable. (Unless of course it is in their core nature to be awkward or create upset). It’s a great time to finish up our creative projects, especially ones which help to improve the look of our home or office.

The Moon in Scorpio….. ah this can be a challenging time for some… as our lady tends to become more sensitive here, and she can sometimes assume things, be jealous or take offence when none was meant… It is a good idea be more aware of our feelings now, but in a logical way instead of an emotional one… think before we speak, react, or act,  to avoid saying or doing things we may regret later, or which may hurt the feelings of others…. On the up side, it’s a great time for research and detective work, boding well for students and researchers… and regular folk who just want to discover something new or different… The Scorpio full moon may encourage us to be more intimate with another then we usually would be… this is great for lovers but care should be taken if single and out for a night on the town…

Lunar Eclipse.… When a Lunar eclipse appears with a full moon it increases the effects of the full moon…. for 2 days before the full moon and for 1 day after the full moon, we may feel more anxious than normal and our time tables may be hectic, or at least it feels like it’s hectic, perhaps we feel disorganized or overwhelmed…. If an eclipse occurs on or near our birthday, it is likely that the coming year will prove to be one of transformation, changes and lessons…. wheel set in motion with a lunar eclipse full moon may take up to 6 months to occur…. This full moon/eclipse is on the edge of Libra, indicating issues and situations regarding relationships may be to the fore and will need attention… the love life could be unusual …

The moon in Aries can be impulsive and bold. Some of us may feel more energetic than usual,  if this is the case use your energy wisely, but be aware of jumping to conclusions or into situation before knowing all the facts… :)

This can be a great time to begin new projects, especially ones that are “me” related… or to bring about a change for the better in your present situation…

For those who may be shy or find it difficult to speak up… use this time (with the moon in Aries) to be your own “hero”…

Those most affected by this months New moon will be those who have one or more of the following…

Sun in Aries: Moon in Aries: Mars in Aries:

The Sun Enters Aries March 20 2014: Also… First day of spring and Ostara

You Aries folk are what get us all going… ready to explore and move mountains… well for a little while at least… Even though you guys and gals are full of vim and vigour you aren’t really the kind to stick around to the see the completion of your pioneering projects thanks to your lack of patience… You can get bored easily and the next interesting thing/person that comes along can perk up your ears encouraging you to find out more….. You are fun to be around and many may wish they were more like you, but you can have your awkward moments when you forget about the feelings of others as Aries puts your own needs first…. Having a partner that understands this is important, but you need to slow down enough so that he/she can explain to you when you have done “wrong” …  You are the beginning of the Zodiac and as such you are like the child who needs a constant gentle reminder to slow down… :)

And…. March 20/21 is traditionally known as Ostara in the Pagan and Wiccan belief systems… In my reference book it shows Ostara as being today, (March 20 2014) but I am not absolutely sure as on-line it is stated as March 21 2014… Any confirmation on this years date would be greatly appreciated…. :)

Please view the following information on Ostara from About.comPaganism / Wicca

The word Ostara is just one of the names applied to the celebration of the spring equinox on March 21. The Venerable Bede said the origin of the word is actually from Eostre, a Germanic goddess of spring. Of course, it’s also the same time as the Christian Easter (Unless Easter falls in April as it does this yearcelebration, and in the Jewish faith, Passover (This year begins at sundown April 14 2014 takes place as well. For early Pagans in the Germanic countries, this was a time to celebrate planting and the new crop season. Typically, the Celtic peoples did not celebrate  Ostara as a holiday, although they were in tune with the changing of the seasons.

A New Day Begins:

A dynasty of Persian kings known as the Achaemenians celebrated the spring equinox with the festival of No Ruz — which means “new day.” It is a celebration of hope and renewal still observed today in many Persian countries, and has its roots in Zoroastrianism. In Iran, a festival called Chahar-Shanbeh Suri takes place right before No Ruz begins, and people purify their homes and leap over fires to welcome the 13-day celebration of No Ruz.

Mad as a March Hare:

Spring equinox is a time for fertility and sowing seeds, and so nature’s fertility goes a little crazy. In medieval societies in Europe, the March hare was viewed as a major fertility symbol — this is a species of rabbit that is nocturnal most of the year, but in March when mating season begins, there are bunnies everywhere all day long. The female of the species is super-fecund and can conceive a second litter while still pregnant with a first. As if that wasn’t enough, the males tend to get frustrated when rebuffed by their mates, and bounce around erratically when discouraged. (Perhaps this is where the symbol of the bunny comes from in our Easter celebrations… ) :)

Full Moon in Virgo March 16 2014:

Traditionally it is said that as the moon grows into her fullest form, it is the best time for us to finish up projects… It’s not the best time to begin a project as you may be presented with more challenges than usual indicting that project may get put on the shelf for a while. Our confidence may also be “shaken” as we try our hardest to get something new off of the ground only to find delays surfacing we hadn’t anticipated.

When the full moon falls in the sign of Virgo, we are most likely to focus on fixing and fussing and our health…. we may be more apt to see the little details we would normally miss… which could make this an ideal time to view detailed written work or contracts.. although as the full moon represents the closing or ending of things it may not be the best time to sign on the dotted line regarding new projects or commitments…. Cleaning up the house, garage, office or car are excellent activities for this full moon… And if the weather cooperates this can also be a good time to get outside and go for a long walk or run… feeling healthy or taking care of our health can also be prompted with this full moon…

The effects of this full moon will be felt the strongest by those who have the following: Virgo Moon: Virgo Sun: Moon in the 6th house: Sun in the 6th house: Aspects and transits to the moon.

** Please Note*** The moon went void off course at the same time it became full… it then moved into the sign of Libra at 8:46 pm… thanks to Hocuspocus13 for catching that… :)

Full Moon in Leo February 14 2014 6:53 pm

Two cats in love, sitting on a rooftop under a full moonTraditionally it is said that as the moon grows into her fullest form, it is the best time for us to finish up projects… It’s not the best time to begin a project as you may be presented with more challenges than usual indicting that project may get put on the shelf for a while. Our confidence may also be “shaken” as we try our hardest to get something new off of the ground only to find delays surfacing we hadn’t anticipated.

Leo is ruled by the sun, and when the moon visit’s him there can be slightly more drama involved then usual. It’s a time when peeps want to be noticed and recognized for a job well done or achievements accomplished, or just because they are looking especially glamorous… :) It’s a great time to take in a show or go to the theatre and if you happen to be working amongst the “arts” this could be your time to shine, (and everyone else’s) … And while this is a mostly positive time and can help those of us who are usually shy or introverted step out of our zone for a few hours, it can also “encourage” us to go over board and perhaps over react to things we may normal not notice… So go ahead and have a good time during this full moon but take care to avoid being overly bossy or dramatic as it might not end up having the effect you wanted…

This full moon will especially affect those with the following in their natal chart: Other’s may also be affected by this Leo Full Moon who have the following progressed and transit chart information.

Moon in Leo: Sun in Leo: Moon in the 5th house: Mercury in Leo: Aspects from natal to progressed charts.

Moon Void Off Course: As the moon moves through the zodiac signs each month there are times when she isn’t visiting with any of the signs. This is a Moon Void off Course… When this happens it is best not to make important decisions, start projects and or sign important papers as we may not be as sure of ourselves as we should be, or we may be impulsive in our decision-making only to “regret” it later… :(

There are times when a Void Off Course Moon can be advantageous. For this month however it is not so. However there is a window of opportunity from 6:53 pm to 9:05 pm and will bode well for projects begun before January 31 2014:
