This Saturday March 16 2013 bring your reusable items to the following location to be reused by charities. Please bring only those items that are in good enough shape to be reused safely. Thank you. :)

  • From: 9 am to 1 pm: 

Acceptable reusable donation items include: 

  • Lumber (clean, no nails and over 4ft lengths)
  • Roofing material (new only)
  • Windows and doors (no slab hollow core doors)
  • Tools and hardware
  • Lighting fixtures
  • Metal or wooden furniture (no fabric Chesterfield’s unless new)
  • Carpets (area rugs in like new condition; no carpet remnants)
  • Counters and sinks
  • Plumbing supplies
  • All clothing and textiles
  • Books and magazines
  • CD’s, DVD’s, video games, records
  • Toys and Games
  • Sporting Equipment
  • Window coverings (no used vertical or horizontal blinds)
  • Housewares and accessories
  • Gardening equipment
  • Working appliances

**Please note**

Only good quality items deemed suitable for reuse by charities will be accepted.

Material not accepted by charities must be removed by resident.**

Items may be disposed of at the Region’s waste management facilities. (Fee’s apply)

Garbage, household hazardous waste, or unwanted electronics ARE NOT  ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT.

Illegal dumping of waste is subject to fines under the Region’s Waste Management By-law.
