Awesome things to do… Campers will participate in age-appropriate activities that may include: Archery, Dance, Nature Photography, Drama, Hiking/Geocaching, Games, Crafts, Visual Arts, and visits to Oshawa indoor pool twice a week. Each day will start with programming selected for your camper’s age group and then will mix in a whole bunch of individual choice activities. It’s the best way for girls to hang out with girls their age, sample all of our programming and also choose their own adventure. Click here for the activity chart and week at a glance schedule.

Durham Region road restrictions due to construction 2013

SGC Admin: It’s that time of year again, when the works department get out the shovels and asphalt to repair, replace and add to our roads and sidewalks. This post will be updated throughout the season, so please check back, when looking for this post just put Durham Region Road in the search bar on the right hand side and this post should pop up. :) 

Please remain as calm and considerate as possible when dealing with delays due to construction and be aware of work crews and pedestrians when traveling through construction zones… :)

The New Moon is about beginnings and starts … it’s the time to look forward and put new ideas and projects into motion. 

The Moon in Gemini is a fun and fickle moon, these next few days may have you feeling the need to write, email and communicate with others. Multi tasking is also likely, but watch that you don’t become too scatter brained as you attempt to do more than usual. Short trips to the city, or visits with old friends may be in order perhaps with a business idea in mind… Siblings may also be in focus. If any legal documents or long-term commitments are in the picture take care to make sure you understand everything that is involved before signing… Delaying important decisions and commitments is highly recommended when the moon is void off course… 

A solar eclipse can have an influence on us making things, plans, issues and or situations that happen during an eclipse last longer than usual. Sometime’s it’s unavoidable and plans have to be made, ideas need to be put into motion and there are some people we just can’t get away from or do without…. In these cases patience is strongly advised.

Moon in Gemini: Mercury in Gemini: Sun in Gemini: Any Planets in the 3rd house. For those who have oppositions or square aspects to the moon, these may prove to be challenging times. For those who have trines or sextiles, these may prove to be opportune times.

Whitby residents can enjoy a day of walking, running or strolling the Whitby waterfront to raise money for Canadian Lyme disease patients.
