SGC Admin: The town of Whitby is looking for your input on our Roads and Side-walks:
The Town of Whitby states “The Town of Whitby owns approximately $2 billion of public assets”
These public assets include our roads and side-walks.
“While the Town has various detailed Assets Management programs in place, the Town is currently reviewing and developing a more comprehensive Asset Management Plan to review how we manage major repairs to our roads and side-walks and to provide more certainty that we are getting the most value out of our asset investments”
The town is looking for public input regarding the condition of our existing roads and side-walks. By completing a survey devised by the town, residents may “have their say”.
SGC Admin is going to check out the survey, hopefully there is a spot that asks “do you think roads and or side-walks should be worked on, even if they don’t appear to need any work?” That’s what happened in our residential area this spring/summer… hmmmm still can’t figure out why the work needed to be done…

The Full Moon is the perfect time to finish up on projects and get those loose ends sorted out… Traditionally the Full Moon is not the best time to begin new projects… so don’t start a new exercise regime this weekend, chances are you won’t stick with it, wait for the New Moon to pop up again…
The moon will only be in Aquarius for a short time but never the less we may still feel the influence of Aquarius. We will no doubt also feel the influence of Pisces, when she visits this sign at 12:43 am August 21 after being void off course from 9:45 pm August 20.
You might feel like taking risks now or doing things out of the ordinary for you, perhaps you have plans to surprise someone? … be sure you don’t get too carried away though, it’s great to try something new, but not so great if there are negative consequences. A solar eclipse can have an influence on us making things, plans, issues and or situations that happen during an eclipse last longer than usual. Sometime’s it’s unavoidable and plans have to be made, ideas need to be put into motion and there are some people we just can’t get away from or do without…. In these cases patience is strongly advised. Our last Solar Eclipse was on May 9 2013.
SGC Admin: It can be tough these day to make our dollar stretch further, honestly between the tax man and the cost of living going up more than the wages coming in, one wonders how some people manage…
That’s why it’s great to have people like Joanne from the Violet Door in Bowmanville helping us out by offering “Customer Appreciation Days” at the beginning of each month … It’s nice to shop somewhere one is appreciated… :)
